Don't hesitate to pick one up man. I have a clear red and I'm kicking myself for not getting the whole set.

If I recall, aren't these going to be made in a fairly large quantity? If so, we'll all be able to score!

By the way - these figures are really great - I love my clear set!

i can't say i like these.

how does this sculpt, or any sculpt, in general, benefit from simply being enlarged?

this may sound like an odd thing to ask about on a JP toy board, but why should i care more about this size, than the originals? pollards are not some fabled 30 year old toy (although their prices are fabled at this point). i love them, but i don't have a clue why these are desireable to people.

imo, these merely capitalize on the popularity of the originals, nothing more.

and yes, i realize this applies to other toys also.

Are these just enlarged from the original scuplt? I thought it was a brand new scuplt entirely?

I like the original pollards, they are classic, but I can't afford them at the prices they go for now. Plus i always wished they were a little bigger. These new pollards are a perfect size for me and somewhat more affordable than the originals. Still, i wouldn't mind collecting the smaller ones if i had the money.

Personally I'm liking 'em because they sit so well with the Gamagons, offset perfectly with the Dorbels and Zags . . . it's a pseudo-godzilla display kinda thang! :D

The originals were cute but minis just ain't floating my boat as much these days (even if I could afford 'em!).

Magic 8-Ball says . . . 'chances are slim!' :?

Bigger is better! ;)

And it is a pretty different sculpt, too. Plus, it's articulated, while the minis are not. I love them both for different reasons.

I think the main thing to keep in mind is you can put a tiny pollard in a big pollard. Which adds value, aaaand taste. It's the belly. It's rounder and bigger.

I like the big sculpt, though it doesn't quite have the style points of the smaller one. What I really miss is the reversed teardrop-pupils from the smaller one, which may be why I passed up on the clears (no eyes at all make them look like zombies to me). And I know neither one has anything on top of the head, but when I see the bigger one I think "Bald!"
