Wow- $250 is really a bitchin' price for a custom fibreglass figure of that size, esp. if they're to be painted/have articulation. Very cool deal, Frank, I hope it works out for all- I'm not even into Zags, but I'm sure these'll be beauties, and I would jump on this if I weren't saving all beans for a very expensivo upcoming release.... |

Depends when due to financial planning, but yeah! |

I dont know if it would be 'really' articulated...the arms would be jointed at the shoulder to it but probably would not rotate very well. |

what will t look like; the manga, original sculpt, or gargamel version? Who is doing the sculpt and what color is it going to be? If you make it out of vinyl I will pay $500+ |

wont be vinyl. This dude Rommel in the Philippines will sculpt it. Im going to sort of do my own take on it so it wont look like either the origial vinyl or the gargamel one. in vinyl these would cost...1000 each .( I checked)..cause I only want to make like 25 pieces. nice fibreglass..250.00 |

Agreed! It sounds better & better. What would something like that weigh for shipping (or would its size be more of a factor). (Are we talking freight?) |

it should fit the 'oversized' ups rate so like 85 bucks shipping in the lower 48. |

Count me in, but if this happens, I too would like to pick it up from you studio south of market. By the way, I just realized recently (after getting the Blood Pharoas boasting your home address) that I live only about 4 blocks away from you, East, across Park Presidio. Small world. I think your "bootleg" is a fantastic idea. Would this one have a dragging tail and spikes down the back? |

Hell yes! As long as it still has one eye! Hey Frank, I was at the NAMM show in California a couple of weeks ago and the guy from Dunlop said you designed the packaging for the Jimi Hendrix strings and picks. Looks cool! I also saw your rocker labbit picks. He said he wanted to get some new designs from you. You should do some Kaiju metal stuff for the new picks! |

yeah I do package design for people once in a while. did all the boxes for their Hendrix series effects pedals as well. I used to do a lot of commercial work(Nike, Gatorade, Slim Jim ad nauseaum), but pretty much quit doing it since the toys are doing so well. Commercial work pays really well but it gets boring. I live on 14th ave next door to Ramos, but my studio is downtown. looks like there is enough interest to cover costs so I reckon Ill make these. Probably be ready in July or August. more info as it develops. one thing though is I could use some: 1. photo reference of the original vinyl 2.reference on the old manga drawings. anyone got this? |
