Played with one a few days ago. Oh yeah, it's even cooler than I'd expected. I love how the display re-orients itself automatically depending upon how you hold the unit. Also love the Web page zoom-in, zoom-out navigated by pinching two fingers together or spreading them apart. I want one now, but will wait awhile ... first gen tech and all that.

Yeh i just got a blackberry curve, very nice too. It's like the pearl but with better media software, better camera and a full qwerty keyboard. I'm very impressed how well the keys press and so far has all my info working seamless.

I'll get an iphone in a year or two when they make them twice as good.

The iPhone is already twice as good as a blackberry... Unless you need to edit Word Docs.

The keyboard on the iPhone isn't one-hand friendly, also the thing works GREAT in the city but sucks 30 miles south.

I'm glad I waited and used a friends because it doesn't work at all for the way I use my Motorola Q

really Joe? How so? I have the Q and I think it blows. I'm interested in any reason why I shouldn't throw this thing off a bridge....

iPhone looks pretty sweet....just wondering if the lack of tactile buttons is a problem.

Well i'm in Canada and i don't feel like putting in the extra drive, shipping, insanely inflated prices for the hype right now. The blackberry loads up RFSO lickity split and using the qwerty board has lots of spring and is very exact once you get used to it. My e-mail from all 5 of my accounts are pushed to my device instantaneously. It also can have up to 4GB in memory. It is very one hand friendly and i got MSN/AIM all running smooth.

So pretty much it does all that i need for way cheaper right now. In a year or two when the second one comes out and it's way better and easier/cheaper then i'll strike.

What if the second one isn't held down to a carrier and isn't using lame EDGE? HSDPA iPhone? Then i'd be laughing.

I guess for now I'll have to hold out making my friends jealous by flipping pages with my finger.

the iPhone is amazing, I am posting this from it... The keyboard takes a few days to get used to
my only complaint is the lack of copy and paste...

I am so jealous you guys have a choice in the matter. I have to wait until 2008 when this iPhone comes into the shores of Asia. I am an Apple freak, so good to know the overall comments have been thumbs up. I am sure Apple will have an downloadable update to their software that will enhance the use of the phone very soon.
