Bumping in the For sale section sucks. It reminds me of the kr forum. If a guy wants bump his own shit fair enough. But dudes doin it for him all the time, well its kinda like holding is dick for him while he takes a piss.
I mean thats why there is 4 pages so you can go have a look if you want.

they say if you shake it more than 3 times you are playing with it

how does that rule apply when you are shaking someone else's?

On a serious note (ha) I wish post counts didn't count in the BST section. Noticed a few people wander into sales with 'nice prices' etc. Quite annoying.

Preach it. I've never understood the need for all the fucking running commentary on BST threads.

I think I may have been been inadvertently guilty of this recently . . . too much time on my hands avoiding real work . . . apologies if this is the case, it won't happen again!

My 2 cents: bumping is shithouse. I personally think a bit of comment in the sales thread is cool but not specifically bumping a thread without adding anything decent to read. It's nice that people wanna help out but i'm fairly sure there is a no bumping rule (written or unwritten) for SB :?

Can an admin back me up on this one?

Maybe I've been oblivious to this, but I usually assume that comments in sales thread are sincere ... just people "thinking out loud." I haven't seen any of the super-annoying "bump" messages as you do at that other toy board. :?

i've seen one or two "bump for ......" comments here and there. Genuine i'm sure but it could clutter shit up pretty hard - i'm with you though, some compliments or a bit of banter on the sales thread never hurts - but bumping for bumpings sake could get outta hand.

I say if its your ad, cool (within reason). But others going "bump for good variety, or "bump for vinyl I haven't seen before" well that's just plain silly man.

To put it simply, it's very KR-ish and doesn't belong here.

Nope. No "bump", no "PM'd", no "nice prices", no "someone pick this up", none of it. Draconian 4 life.

the worst posts go to those that post "PMd"... i've never seen a more pointless post except for any manimal post. i'm kidding, lighten up. don't fade.

The concept of Bumping for someone else here is lame, since you can reply to your own thread, causing it to rise to the top, regardless of whether or not yours was the last comment.

I wouldn't mind seeing sale threads live on for a bit longer. They are automatically deleted rather quickly. Perhaps that can be modified?
