So this is the place to make your comments and suggestions about what need to fix on the board. I will ask Matt (Hybrid's tech warlord) to read this thread so he know what is going on. Matt is not a toy geek or a collector of oddities so please treat him like a civilian. Constructive criticisms is what we are looking for so keep you bad attitudes to yourself of Matt might just go feudal on your account. I will start: 1. Links should open in a new browser or tab 2. More skins or themes should be added 3. More smilies are needed 4. Bigger mailboxes Now you go.... |

Matt, congrats on moving the board to PHPBB 3.0 and not resetting everyone to zero post counts or losing PMs. Miscellaneous stuff: Seemingly no auto-delete for inbox so you have to clear out space before message is viewable. Is there a way to have messages appear in the inbox and auto delete old messages to make room? No way to select a 10 messages at once and move them (gotta click click click each one) or am I missing something? edit: cause magic gnomes are fixing things... |

if you're typing a reply and someone's already replied to the topic, it asks you if you want to review your post before submitting. Is that necessary? |

Right now, you gotta look to the right to determine if its worth reading then look back to the left. So there's alot of back and forth which is distracting. Weird, it should be changed now. 1. I think the banner is TOO BIG. Otherwise, looks like everything is slowly being fixed. |

#1 -- How about when you click on a a thread that you've been reading it takes you to your first unread post in the thread? That would be great. #2 -- And in order to view the Sale forum: Parka wrote: logged in, joined for over a month, 100 posts that aren't just 'lol'. #3 -- Oh, and if the font colors over there -->> when you're typing a reply could be hidden in a drop down or something...maybe the Smilies too. (A little more "incognito".) |

Personally, I'd like it to be more phone friendly. The layout from earlier was using percentage widths which is nice when you are browsing from something other than a computer. Granted device specific style sheets are not exactly a blast. Also, can we make the quotes slightly darker than the background of the post? |

I've always had problems posting pics from my computer. Actually have no clue on how to do it. Perhaps a tutorial for less tech savvy people like myself. |

I hope I'm not overlooking an already-existing feature, but it seems that marking forums "read" doesn't affect what you see when you click "View new posts." I'd appreciate being able to read unread posts. At present, I don't see a way to isolate them. "View new posts" yields a lot of already-read posts. Thanks for your help Matt. |

Good vibes here too...I like that you've managed to recapture the feel of the old board with the modern conveniences of the new. Very smooth transition, and far less stressful than Papa Brian's mandatory time out! I know that a lot of people don't enjoy emoticons, but a wider selection could convey a bit more of the meaning behind people's words and possibly avoid hurt feelings for the thinner skinned... I like this board a lot and am very glad that you (S7) are dedicated to it. Also, if pandering and ass-kissing will get me a break on pricing, I'd ramp it up a bit! ![]() Scott |

JoeMan wrote: I've always had problems posting pics from my computer. Actually have no clue on how to do it. Perhaps a tutorial for less tech savvy people like myself. Hey there. To do this you need to have them hosted at another site, then use the "Img" tags. Both Flickr and Photobucket host photos for free. If you want to pay for increased options, Flickr is the superior site. There are others as well. To use the Img tags, copy your hosted photo's location (URL,) then paste into your post. Highlight the entire URL and click the "Img" tag option. That's the simplest way. There are others but I'll leave it at that for now. You can't upload photos directly to Skullbrain from your computer, with the exception of an avatar photo within Skullbrain's limits. |
