Man...the new magazine was crammed into my box yesterday and it was painfully good stuff!

The cover of the magazine alone is worth the price of admission = Ken Kelly painting the one Mirconaut that I obsessed over throughout my childhood and looking back on it regretted ever giving up!

My one question is whether or not the Real X Head Super 7 figures will be available to subscribers via online order / phone order or if that's another in-store only deal.

I'm sorry the what? RxHxSuper7 figure? Or rather figures plural...

Is this huge news or am I just having a reading comprehension problem and this has been mentioned before?

Oh I subscribe oh god yes...no seriously I do. But I haven't been blessed with the latest and greatest issue as of yet.

But thank you for the low-down about there not being any kind of a colab. I mean who would want those plastic turds anyway? Macrame owls that's where the kids on the street are at these days...

We're still doing the Jedi mind-trick/RxH sucks thing right?

I can't read a whole issue in one sitting, I have to break it up. I start to feel like some kind of toy Hulk about midway through flipping through the first time.

GIMME GOOD TOYS NOW OR ELSE! Love the new issue, can't wait to keep flipping through it again tonight.

since i know zilch about micronauts (and have a seriously nutty curiousity streak) i'm loving the cover story.

Learning about the art and the figures really drives home some basics about micronauts history. great story!!

Micronauts/Microman and Henshin is seriously where my collecting and buying is going. This is where the history is. There is such a cool geek factor about it too!!
Might have to send off for a copy of this issue. Someone have a cover image to show an Aussie kid?

I remember spending my seventh birthday with my dad having a “boy’s night out” and at the end of it he took me to Target and said "pick something out". Which, when you are a kid, is license to steal. That’s when I saw Baron Karza and it was like finding the Holy Grail. It was easily one of my favorite toys growing up.

Micronauts man, they were so ahead of their time.

This sounds so cool! I hope I get my copy soon!

Any other subbers not get theirs yet? My toy order boxes show up super hella fast from Super 7, but for some reason my magazine usually takes a while?

Is it a region thing, a mail thing, or the diff between priority mail and book rate? hmmmm... Not complaining, just curious...

Micronauts cover feature sounds awesome! Baron Karza was one of my very favourite toys growing up... love the magnets!

Anyone else pick up the "ghost of Karza" clear re-issue a while back? Ah, memories...

Ah... sweet, sweet S7 magazine!

Now to pace myself and not read it from cover to cover in one sitting again! Man I love this magazine.

I agree, even though that image has been lodged in my brain for over 20 years, that cover is incredibly striking. Ken Kelly is a guest at almost every Chiller Theatre show. He's a very nice guy, a real "salt of the earth" type person. If you get to meet him, ask him to tell you some stories about the work he's done for other toy companies. You'll laugh your ass off.

It's a reprint of the Antron painting. The paintings he did for all of the Micronauts Aliens are inside the magazine. This alone makes the issue worth getting.

Yeah, bad memories. Within four months my clear Karza had almost completely disintegrated. I took it out of the box and the whole thing fell apart. I chucked everything but the magnets, which are now stuck to the fridge.

Just got my copy of issue #13 yesterday, just in time for 666 Day. The Rodan and vinyl pendant articles were very good, and I especially liked Brian's editorial on "the ones that got away." Someone should start a thread to chronicle those.

Nice work, guys!

yeah, the ones that got away...that's a good idea and could almost be it's own section here. Plus...it might be a good place for people to help each other out on finding that "gotta have it" vinyl figure!
