It's time to reflect and give thanks for the good things in life. So here's a big Thanksgiving Thank You to Brian, Devon, Chad and all the folks at Super 7 who have brought us so many great toys (and a great magazine, too) over the past year. The S7 team is one of the most productive, customer-friendly and responsive groups in Toyland.

And a special Thank You to Ramos for making skullbrain.org a reality. Best wishes to everyone for a healthy and prosperous holiday!

What exactly is Thanksgiving? I'm getting a good idea from this thread, but never really found out exactly.

when the first english settlers arrived in 1629 their dumb asses where starving until the local natives gave them some food. then they Praised God and ate.

its an annual memorial to that day. without the natives they woulda died.

then, after they ate up the native's food, they gave the indian's all types of illnesses and viruses and infections they had never been exposed to.
then they stole the land from them and made them live on reservations(or concentration camps to be more accurate)
they brought more and more people until the majority was the "settlers"

oh...and don't forget the settler's screwed up the land, the crops, killed all the buffalo for fun, etc etc.

so that's what we are celebrating....good old fashioned death and swindling of kind folk.
they should have let the bastards starve when they showed up hungry

Or you could say that the celebration is of kind folk, who gave without self-interest.

i'm still thankful. most holidays have little or nothing to do with their origins anyway. all in all, not a bad time of the year to think about how you, your friends and family could be doing a helluva lot worse.
