'125 Minutes of Pus'
Thursday July 20th: 4:25pm - 6:30pm

That's right, Pushead will make a rare appearance, as part of the 25th
anniversary celebration. It is being called '125 Minutes....' as
Pushead will only be there for 2 hours and 5 minutes (those plays on
25), and all the items that will be for sale....will only be available
for that amount of time only. when this '125 minutes...' ends (@6:30
pm), anything not sold will be boxed up and will no longer be
available for sale. Wild!

The special SDCC limited item will be the 'Came from the Sea' Skullpirate,
manufactured by Secret Base. It's the first Skullpirate being released
outside of Japan! Limited to 125. Each one will come with a signed tag
and a Skullpirate bandana. The price for this package will be $75.00.

There will also be a limited 'Jar of Pus' Circus Punk....manufactured
'secretly' by Circus Punks!....only 25 available @ $100.00 each.

Also available, will be specially Handpainted items by Pushead.
Various higher prices for these unique one of a kind pieces....all
vinyl figures....and not many.

Plus other odds and ends will be for sale too!
And not only can you meet with Pushead and perhaps get some items
signed.....Hiddy from Secret Base will also be hanging out!

There are no reserves / saves or holds. It's a first come, first serve
sale....

Looking forward to seeing everyone Thursday July 20th!

Yeah but no longer available for sale for the rest of the con, or forever?!

That would be wild.

I think this is the point where some random doofus interjects: "hey man - they're just toys!"

True, but they're nice toys.

I know this is gonna sound like blasphemy, but I don't think Pushead is all that great. I like his stuff, but I don't understand why there is such a fuss about all of it all the time.

that said, I will be standing in line to buy these toys. haha.

To clarify, he will be there on Thursday?

I believe so.

Pushead made KAWS' work interesting. Anyone who can do that is not a good artist, but a GREAT artist.

Author:  skylar [ Fri Jul 14, 2006 10:36 pm ]
Post subject:

well I don't particularly like Kaws either. or care about him at all actually.

I like Pushead, don't get me wrong. I've always liked his artwork on record covers and skate stuff and all that. and I like his toys.

I just don't think most of it is anything to cream over

He also designed two of the best Secret Base sculpts. Not too shabby, if you ask me...

Author:  skylar [ Fri Jul 14, 2006 10:43 pm ]
Post subject:

dude, I LIKE HIM! you don't have to keep defending him!

also, whether or not they are two of the "best" sculpts is a matter of opinion. I don't necessarily think they are.

I think the plain old skullbee is still the best
