Thanks. Nothing too special. Just a nice, lean, light, fast bike for the city.

Yeah, the fenders are pretty neat - the racing stripe is an actual intarsia of a different wood and not just painted on.

Nah man, that looks like a great commuter; just what you need in a city bike. The perfect accompaniment for those fenders.

DORORO on DVD (I bought mine from Amazon). This wonderful Tezuka anime series from 1969 is available for the first time with english subtitles. Made in black and white which adds to the eerie atmosphere of the program. Lots of slicing and dicing Samurai style! Don't let the inclusion of little dog Nota trick you (he was introduced for the anime, he did not appear in the manga version). Also included is the pilot which was made in color.
I just received the Denboku sofubi version of Nota, he's so cute :)

Nice one Martin! That release totally slipped me by, but it is great to see it finally available. I am really hoping that someone does issues of a whole lot of these older anime shows with English subs, particularly the B&W Kitaro series.

The B&W Kitaro has been fansubbed, but would love to have an official release. The Amazing Three (Wonder 3) is at the top of my wish list!

So, this is my second get from The Runny Bunny. There was some interest when I posted the first one awhile back, so I thought I'd share this one, too. Almost all of this gal's creations are one-offs and they're very reasonably priced. This one happens to be a vase, which is of no consequence to me, but certainly doesn't take away from the piece, either.

Not in the mail, but I did just pick up this huge shelf unit. The only problem is that I have no room for it with my current setup in my house! So its now in pieces in my storage unit. One day... (And I will have to paint over that wood grain.)

@Kingboy D that's awesome, any idea how long it'll be stuck in storage for?

That is one macker shelf, Myles! How the heck did you bring those pieces home? That is a heck of a lot of space for some vintage vinyl, with great spaces on top for those jumbo/giant pieces. I look forward (as I am sure you do even more) to the day when you can start loading it up. :)

Thanks! I fear it will be in storage for a while. I would love to sell my house, but I am still underwater. Waiting for the housing prices to rise. I just don't know where I would put it in my current house. The only option would be on the first floor, but I really like to keep my collection more private from typical visitors.

I got the shelf from a trophy manufacturer who went out of business. The landowner knew my wife, so I got a great deal. But the unit is huge - over 7 ft tall, so it would not fit in any rental truck. He disassembled it for me, so I have a ton of pieces now. I wonder if it will ever look the same again. But it was huge and heavy - there was no way to move it assembled. The glass is THICK! As are the wood parts. But all the shelves are fully adjustable, making for possible great display options. Not sure though if I would use this for my vinyl or diecast collection. More likely the diecast. Or maybe a combo of both.

As someone who lives in a studio apartment, I don't have that luxury. In fact, anyone who even comes to my front door is made privy to my freakish proclivity, merely by dint of glancing over my shoulder.

Nice, man! Always happy when fellow Bob Burden fans show solidarity. And original art, no less! I dig the frame as well.

I have an original drawing myself, Flaming Carrot's lack of popularity compared to most comics thankfully makes the original art way more accessible compared to more popular titles.

    Thanks for sharing! :)

EDIT: Just saw the date on the drawing! Very cool. Did you get that as part of the kick-starter for one of the hardback editions? I missed those fundraisers!

Sorry @Michael Beverage, but as far as I can tell you have relinquished all right to can claim now. Seems the only thing you really these days dig are question marks. ;)

Really is a wonderful piece, Rob. Congrats! And the personalised frame is just the touch he needs.

    thanks guys.

roxanne starr / flaming framing has actually been offering these and some other gems up on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/flamingframing/). so it wasn't kickstarter, which i learned about too late. i grew up with cerebus, flaming carrot, and b&w tmnt, so was really happy to add this to my collection...nostalgic, though it sounds like bob will be at sdcc this year and trying to get things rolling again.

Excellent! Yeah Roxanne and Bob are local here, I have yet to make it to DragonCon but would like to go just to meet them.

I'm a huge Cerebus fan too, been reading Cerebus since I was 12. I still lack a few of the last "phone books" in the series. I would love some drunken Cerberus original art.

Very nice piece, Blake! I agree, Greedo was always very cool, and definitely participated in a heck of a lot of adventures with me too, even if mostly as the baddie. Mr. Walters did a very nice job on that, capturing both the character from the film as well as the massive charm of the toy. I quite like it.

No kidding! I would definitely not mind owning a print or collection of those beauties. They always capture the adventure and pure fun so well that I am sure a lot of us had with these toys. Thanks for the reminder of them, Blake! It sure makes me smile every time.
