So im head over heels with this guy. With the glimpse at the chest and head I already know this is going to be my most anticipated toy of next year. There's a Sparkman waiting in the sky...
Love. Against the grain for sure. Everyone else is making 'melty toys that all look the same....Sparkman gives me hope. It's got to be so hard to make a toy that has smooth features.
I think thats what I like most, that his stuff looks like it came out of a 70's kaiju show and not some zombie/skull shit with melty bodies full of craters.
Looks like a pure PK creation! With this image, I can't help but get a Tetsujin feel from the body. I love the metal pellets for the river effect. View this post on Instagram
It looks like a collab between PK and Restore Created. The sculpt reminds me of their Neo Japan figures..
Thanks folks. Nope it's not a collaboration of any sort. It's all mine. I've been getting my kicks off old school Science fiction Illustrations, and 60's-70's Shonen Kid's-stuffs from the bottomless pit.
I love this guy and can't even begin to think what he looks like with paint. A majority of toys these days all look the same and Sparkman just stands outside of the pack. Love it.
imo this is a true display of skill. not that heavy textures are easy to achieve by any means but super smooth hand sculpted pieces like this really set the standard.
Yeah once again PK proves that he's an absolute master. Both in skill and character coming though. I'm amazed!
BTW, Bob Barker is one of the influences behind this toy.. Check out Paul's latest IG post.. lolololol
I laughed so hard when I saw that, and then took a good look at Sparkman. I guess they have to make Bob Barker immortal somehow...
