I had them made for the Rebels when I used IKEA Detolfs and now I adjust the glass shelves to suite. 5mm clear acrylic bent into 3 steps with a return at the back to stop them slipping down the back of the shelf
I've been taking photos of my Balzac collection for a collectors website if anyone is interested. It is always being updated and if anyone can provide any of the missing photos I would be a huge help. http://fiendcollectors.com/balzac/toy.php
@Michael Beverage @xSuicide Squadx Thanks guys, first time playing around with my new flashlight & GID HDR - quite happy with the results myself!
Before my infatuation with Secretoy began, there was my first love: the Obake Dog. These are just close ups of some favorites for style points: Spoiler
Thanks, JP! Upon seein’ your comment I noticed that I accidentally posted one shelf twice, and was completely missing another. It’s since been corrected! I think I’m between 63 and 65 Dogs total? Despite taking these photos, and even looking at them now, I haven’t counted them in quite some time. Plenty more I’m missing, of course. Especially between the Whiz76 and AES releases, which were all one offs.
I am also impressed! Love to see this level of dedication and focus in collecting, particularly on a figure that rarely gets the limelight.
Can I come over just dive into the display? I like your focus, and I love seeing all the colors play off of each other.
@akum6n @Vombie Thank you both so much! It's been a relatively easy focus, 'cause, as you said, Daniel, not many people focus on the Obake Dog. So they've been relatively easy to acquire in droves from trades and least costly sales! Plus, a ton of good peoples have been willing to help me out and hit me up with ones I've been missing. An absolute treat. And Vombie, I'll fill up an inflatable pool with the Dogs, so bring them swim shorts!!!
STORY TIME: I got my first Obake Dogs at SDCC ‘13. Knew practically nothing about them, so I went home and Googled ‘em. This particular Dog immediately caught my eye and I REALLY wanted it for my newfound love and collection, so I threw it up in a wants list. My first “grail” of any toy. After doing so a fellow board member and Dog lover informed me that it was from a collaboration run with Whiz76, and that each painted Dog was a one off. Essentially, they told me it was long sold out and that I’d probably never seen it. Almost FIVE YEARS later I’m surfing Mandarake at 4:00 in the morning, and I scroll past an Obake Dog I know I don’t have. Took me a few seconds but once it registered what Dog it was, I shot up like a bullet out of bed. Scared the hell out of my lady. Needless to say, I ordered it in a panic, and now it is FINALLY in my home. So, so appreciative of my 64th Obake Dog. Stock image I found, that’s STILL in my wants list to this day!: Spoiler
Thanks to secret base for the lollipop drop. I missed these the first go round View this post on Instagram
@BrainDeadBrum Sadly, the Whiz76 tag that displays what number of the run it is did not come with it. I noticed there was another Whiz Dog up that was also missing its tag. Unfortunate, but not a deal breaker for me.
