digging the vendor zero and cycloman release...and glad that gargamel's so accommodating with overseas orders
Gargamel does an excellent job of making fun toys affordable and available and these are no exception.
only by ordering through the gargamel site, as far as i know. i get through as much of the order process as possible using the translation feature within chrome & then usually get an email/invoice from one of the ikedas with the final details within a day or so.
With the new year coming in so soon, I'm getting pumped for that special time of year again! This years offerings from DCON were no less than simply amazing yet again. I came away more than happy with my choices. Both being my top preferences, I consider myself very lucky and am so happy to have the honor of displaying them within my collection! I had to share a few photos to convey my excitement, although capturing their magic is a little tricky through photos!! ^That was my favorite cyborg mibora. The patterning blends so nicely and the colors are to die for. The eyes pop great too...now if only they had made a clear neon orange micro driver.
Yes! I love that the eyes are this dayglowy orange, it really pops with the camo paint app. Also had the same thought about the pilot, would have been nice if it were in a matching clear orange vinyl. Though this particular piece grabbed my attention right away, bringing my thoughts back to the camo cyborg Miborah I had the great privilege of acquiring from my first and only Thrash Out show in Japan back in the spring of 2016!! They compliment each other pretty dang well if I do say so myself.. View this post on Instagram
Beautiful. My biggest regret of the show was missing out on these. Was a treat to just see them in person however
Thank you! I was about to grab the camo above mibora but he was #2 and I was #3. Funny to see you here! So i went with the neon..i am pretty happy! Surprised the full guts zags were still available at #15 on saturday. Prob cause of the higher price ($700)
I had no idea that was retail on these guys. Incredible figures but that would price me out for sure, let alone the secondary market. It'd be nice if a couple one offs made their way into lucky bags like the old days.
They went from 400-700. . Maybe 450. 700 was only for fully clear with guts version. This was first release of clear with guts for all parts worldwide, and they only brought like 5. I am okay with the price but i understand it turning people away.
I'm okay with the price as well, just surprised. More power to them, especially if it continues to enable them to create new characters and do things like the lucky bags. I'm all for it.
Agreed! The lucky bags are brilliant value even with a full crop of the standard figures. It's a very interesting approach to releases honestly; they put out something all of us can enjoy yearly and then at shows it's always new one-offs that push the envelope. I used to be frustrated with it, but comparing photos across shows it's clear that they keep experimenting year on year, and focusing on customs lets them do it rapidly. Each toy is a new idea in some way, even if it's small.
I don’t buy a lot of toys to be completely honest, but this year I saved my pennies and went for this fellah:
