Wonderful, Grace! Such lovely additions. Really nice to see the Moguera for once too. As someone who can now only hunt these racers from the sidelines, I deeply respect your dedication to the searching and fighting you have to go through to bring these guys home. Very lovely, thanks for sharing.
Thank you Stevie! I'm really excited to add them to the garage. Still working on sorting out the toys and figuring how to display them. The gray/red Moguera has a wonderful shimmer in the vinyl! Broccoli head is a little abraded on a couple of floret bumps, and there is a grayish brownish coating on top of the scalp colors. I suspect this was once metallic paint that has aged and lost it's sheen. Still excited though, especially since chimply.kaiju explained that this might be a Yamada-san custom!
^ That is great to know. As we have been discussing the variations on these TG racers for some time, with all the mixed versions, colours, decals, and paint apps, we should at some point taken on trying to compile the different versions we have seen, to catalogue (I guess for my own geeky interests) the one-offs, gifts, leftovers, samples, etc., which this wonderful creator has bestowed upon us.
Saw these guys at a recent show and regret not buying 'em all on sight (had already blown more than anticipated on Headlock schwag).
Made by Star Toys Japan, figures designed by knuckle (little chop design) also comes with extra figure
I've also seen a great Prussian-army-looking zombie which I imagine is from the same series. Photo ripped from YJA, where this can be yours for the low low price of $300. Believe the wheels do spin, but as for the holy grail of the pullback motor, no clue.
@zindabad It isn’t from the same series. Those are individual sculpts from Knuckle and placed into what I’m assuming are Hot Wheels. He’s done quite a large amount of these over time, and there’s been some large scale versions with a representation of himself in the seat. @eckotyper Yes, it is!!! And the back of his helmet is an eyeball!
Finally got the Toygraph Racers parked in their compartments! Just missing cars #4 and #7 Little Vrooms.... Tiny Rampage Unicorn Tanks (and lots of love for the teeny tiny Grumble Toy Tiny Tuffs! Stick'um Up!
I don't know how I managed to never post any of the TG racers here (must be because I've never managed to build the collection...) but in any case pulling out the only oldie I can find right now. To Martin, may he be remembered and treasured for all the kruising kaiju (and more) he brought into this world. He will be dearly missed. Vroom, vroom, Martin. Godspeed.
Sorry for the double post, but I finally adopted Car#7, just need Car#4 and the clear Zegoran (which I will pass on, too much blood!) and I think that completes the set... Left side of bookcase Right side of bookcase A MONUMENTAL thank you to my dear Toy Angel and for his generosity, kindness, and help! I could not have assembled the Toygraph garage without you. And for Martin, who I think of often and miss always.
