Jeff went through vocal training after “Tear From the Red” and his voice changed completely from “You Come Before You(my personal favorite)” forward.‬

‪Even now he doesn’t quite the range he did on even “Tropic Rot”, but he still sounds great. I just don’t think you can beat “Opposite...”’s original sound and still get the same feeling. ‬

I’ve been appreciating your updates. I miss a lot of announcements on other sites. It’s very helpful to have it compiled here. I think a great part of collecting is trading with folks all over the world, too!

@Anti Social Andy I know the Kid Hunter was based off of an original drawing he did for a shirt. I figured there might be an image of the shirt, or if there was one in a magazine or somethin’.

@zindabad I was complete on those at one point, but I started to lose my soft spot for smaller scales figures. Definitely one I’d say is often overlooked!

@xSuicide Squadx I don't usually buy very small stuff any more, but I started collecting those years ago when I had much less money to play with, so I decided to only go for micro-runs and one-offs. I'm almost complete there to my knowledge, but I'll be chasing the SDCC fire-crotch and the last TAG Halloween one-off to my grave

Picking up the clear grey Kun DX and greyscale Pete around 2014 was the last time I saw anything cheap enough to warrant the hassle of hauling home.

@Anti Social Andy I found a couple of items that aren't too horribly priced. I didn't find much at all in 2015, and the ones I did find I skipped on in place of Secret Base and Gargamel fighters. So I don't want to skip 'em this go!

It's also so easy to get likes by requiring everyone who enters a lottery to like the original post. They know the game and are playing it. Their post gets boosted, more people see it, more people follow...

@MattyBoomBatty Oh, I Totally get what you’re saying, but I strictly meant in terms of collecting. It definitely seems more prevalent to strictly collect what you know will get you attention and notoriety, rather than collecting strictly what placates to your personal tastes.

I used strictly way too many times in that previous comment.

while a lot of us do IG, it helped kill the forum. but i miss discussions for sure. while im sure we all have our own little groups to converse with in between shows and what not. we all used to at least gather here to discuss on a broader field. i want to interact more than just a comment or 2 back in forth on a IG post. and more than just 1-5 convention/shows a year.

@eckotyper My sentiments exactly, Mike. While IG posts and comments work, I’ve felt, since joining this board, that, it was more intentional discussion here for likeminded collectors/people. It wasn’t just “That’s nice. I want one.” Actually discussing sculpts, textures, intention, influence, sprays, color choices. All of that often gets overlooked on something like IG compared to here.

I think it's unfortunate. All these "Bitter Bodies" and "Shade baiters" have made this forum toxic. Not worth some artist's time, and unfortunately alienating.

I've seen one dude talk about how "it must be nice" to have any Hirota, and some weeks later he's got over 15 on his shelves. Other than that, I just see people that clamor for "just one," regardless of version or color blank. I'm personally not a fan of that mindset.
