Man, some great finds there Kris, toys and otherwise. Love the soakies, I used to have that ET one I am sure. Cool dig up on those Japanese hobby magazines too, what odd things you can sometimes come across.
Cool grabs! I'd love to find a bunch of hobby mags at a boot, but it hasn't happened yet . . . The E.T. is great, i found that version myself not very long ago. Its a nice sculpt. Its by AVON
Found 'Chocolate' Darth and Boba at a boot sale the other day. 75p each. Galaxy Empire bootlegs 1997. I think this is all the bad guys from the line . . .
Ah Mooooooooooggg!!! You are killing me with these awesome finds dude. Chocolate Vader might be the best of the bunch, just look at that possessed stare. Give a whole new meaning to force choke. Such a shame these figures suffer from the typical defects of the worst of the late 90s/2000s action figure bodies. In another era, an entire line of these guys would just be phenomenal. PS - just noticed that Vader does not show up as a spelling error on here, how great is that?! (I guess because it is recognising it as a name/proper noun, same as Moog, which works, though Quijibo is not. Go figure.
can't find a section for trades necessarily so I figured this might work... but this is a recent acquisition from a trade with a girl on IG that i'm still flipping my shit over. so in love with my freaky foamer dude!
Wow, gutterutter is back and has the good stuff. Nice score! I've never seen that particular freak before . . . You have great taste in uglies, you really do. Your collection is so much fun!
Pretty cool dragon who i've named 'Dank the Magic Dragon' . . . . £1.50 charity shop buy. He's a nice sturdy blue soft vinyl with metallic sprays. 9' High. Made by Toy Major Trading Co. Ltd 2007
Vintage foam space-monkey-cyborg head. The photos dont do justice to the fluorescent orange colour. Really happy to find this one at the Sunday boot-sale. 50p. 7" high / 8" deep. I've no idea how old this is or who made it . . . .
That is crazy good Joe! Damn, I would have definitely fought you hard for that dude had we walked up to the table at the same time. I had no idea when I saw your pics first posted it was that huuuuge. I was already blown away by that guy, he is incredible, but at those dimensions it is very usual for one of these foam dudes. The muscle-y wrinkled flesh, those great eyes (especially with the plastic inserts), the realistic anatomical proportions, and his amazing 'armoured' half; I am just in awe of this guy. Really wonderful color as you said. I have no idea what his story is, but I just love it. He could have walked right off of Vallejo or Frazetta fantasy/sci-fi piece. A very, very excellent find Moog. I wonder if there is a series, I would love to see more; maybe @vintagevinyl can share some light on him.
^^ Indeed sir, i was very happy when i spotted him in a box with a few other curiosities i also picked up. I'm pretty sure i remember these from when i was a kid . . . the day-glo paint and large size seems familiar. I'd love to know more about him. He's partially hollow but is quite heavy and firm to touch.
Yeah, i was thinking that is why the head is partially hollow - so the eye attachments have something to grip onto on the inside.
Yep, these clear plastic early learning versions are really cool. I hope I find more. This one was in a big pile of die-cast and knackered old random crap. I spotted it from a distance . . . Yeah, its a rare one. I would love to know more about it . . .
Another cool one Moog. Just curious, do you remove the ring/chain parts on these, or are you generally just finding them as is.?
