Came to this thread to post the exact same thing! Add me on steam, same name as here. I play fairly often.
Anyone know of any xbox deals online for Black Friday? Not the new xbox one but the 360. I can't fall prey to instore madness.
I've always found cheapassgamer.com to be the best resource. Let everyone else do the work and compile on there
Oh man,I've been playing the Puppeteer too! That game! Wow. One of the best games I've played this year (next to Last of Us). Seriously mind-blowingly entertaining. Always surprising me with each new scene and act. Its the Katamari/Parappa/EpicYarn game for the PS3. LOVE it. Super stoked about Tearaway also. Almost done with Pokemon X. Which has been a super-fun game to play (haven't played a Pokemon since Red/Blue) a good return to form and blast from the past, with lots to discover with every new town. Getting ready for new Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. And still think about Animal Crossing: New Leaf... need to pay a visit. It's been awhile.
I've been emulating Lufia II but got stuck on that so currently I'm playing the prequel, Lufia and the Fortress of Doom. I plan on going to the store to get some more modern games for my PS3, but there doesn't seem to be many RPGs available for it.
Oh yeah, for sure! Its the best platformer since Rayman Origins (and now interesting in Rayman Legends). And with the visual flare of Kirby's Epic Yarn/Little Big Planet. Its definitely one of those games I've been waiting to come out for the PS3. And this game has had the same affect on me as well! Totally intrigued what the other heads do and actually want to collect them. I'm only halfway through Act 3, but I feel like its my pick for Game of the Year already! **EDIT: Friend Code for 3DS: 2964-9907-1230 (Bobby Beast)
Playing this right now. And suffering from moderate-to-severe Nintendo thumbs. It has been too long old friend.
Nice to hear. Just snagged Borderlands 2 from a friend for the price of a lunch. Hope to get into it next weekend. Also grabbed digital version of The Witcher 2 from the xbox sale for like 5 bucks. Heard good things. As far as retro stuff goes been blasting away with SMASH TV all week.
Oh, you are a fan too?! Yep. It is possible, though with all the connections I have going on back there for all the various [now ancient] devices, the cables form a labyrinth of chaos. Short answer is I am feeding it through a VCR connection, which then goes into my receiver. All is worth it though. Yeah, I am stuck behind in technology a few decades, but that is fine with me. (this is, for better or worse, only the tip of the iceberg)
So I thought it was about time to resuscitate this thread. I'll start with a belated wrapping up of 2013: Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds was one of the best Zelda games I've played in decades, and easily made my Favorite Games of All Time list after I finished it. Nintendo definitely re-captured lightning in a bottle with this one. Fast 60fps action gameplay, open world, and superb level design. Almost too-perfect of a video game. Pokemon X was a great return to form. I haven't played once since Blue, so it was a major jump, but a good throwback as well. Enjoyed every minute of it. Animal Crossing New Leaf. Was more can be said about this game? Fun times, and still going, even if I check my town once a month, but trying to get back into it weekly, even daily. Game always continues to suprise me. Last of Us was spectacular. And just started GTAV. Totally late on the train with this one, but really enjoying it. A good break from the grind. 2014: Well, excited for Bravely Default, as it looks like its a return of the 16-bit RPG glory days. The demo was a nice taste, and the art is fantastic. My goal this year is to try to complete ever Dragon Quest game. I'm halfway through DQ1, and its definitely been simply fun. A good "zone out and just grind" kind of game. Excited to play the other entries. And then taking breaks playing some Spelunky and OlliOlli. Good little distractions...
I've been playing Batman: Arkham Origins lately. I'm generally pretty terrible at video games (besides Mario Kart.. although I haven't played for like a year..) but I love the Arkham games! Anyone else playing it Arkham orgins?
Ive been playing a lot of Borderlands 2 and XCOM declassified. I also bought Rust, its like minecraft, but its in prealpha. fun, but buggy as hell.
Guacamelee! Just finished my second playthrough on hard. So in love with this game that I now feel dead inside. Going back to Super Metroid and whatever Castlevania's I can dig out to fill the gap.
Also still busy with BL2. I think it will last till Dark Souls 2 will be released mid of march. I love XCOM Enemy Unknown but somehow was not that interested in the last release. Oh, my PSN is tomtrast.
Never even heard of it. I just finished Last of Us. Amazing. Also finished Red Dead Redemption some time back (yeah I'm late). Great as well. Now playing Ico while waiting for Lightning Returns...
Trying some free tomb raider game on the xbox. Just started but it plays like a combo of Gauntlet and Smash TV. Might be fun. Also been playing Ninja Five-O(Ninja Cop)and it is simply amazing.
