Just a heads up, Lego.com has some of the older SW Lego sets like the big Death Star and the $400 Super Star Destroyer back on their site. Also, great concept and mock up Devilboy!
I think weapons will come separately at some point... Now my son has lost the super nice Slave-1 from yesterday. It's at times like these I wish I had a tiny weeny house...
From my childhood in Germany. I wish I still had the bathroom set. It had a pic of the mom taking a dump on the brick crapper.
holy hell, Paul!!! that's such an awesome set! it's the g-d box art that makes my eyeballz fall out of my face!
I'll speak for Toby because he's old and probably in bed. these, fortunately for all of us, are NOT altered in photoshop. Toby & some friends ( ) worked very hard on these concept pieces. they came out amazing!!!!!
Those are truly great sets Paul. Awesome that they have survived all these years. I know I am probably in the minority here, new Lego is cool and all, but I still immensely prefer these classic sets from the 70s and 80s. The colours are fantastic and it was all about the creativity. Of course, there is probably nothing I wouldn't prefer from those decades - except maybe modern medicine.
I am assuming but hopefully I am correct. Those are some sweet Lego sets Paul. Where they European exclusives? I don't remember ever seeing these state side and I am pretty old, or so those damn dubstep kids tell me.
Those LEGO/S7 mockups are sweet. Those would be a fun, although I dunno what kind of sets they would come with... But it does make me want a LEGO Skullwing. =) LEGO needs to get the Doctor Who license though- I want official 11th Doctor, Amy and Rory minifigs!
Nothing rare or anything but this is my sons Lego haul from Christmas and Hanukkah. We have been playing with the NXT, it's pretty sweet. and I know.... Megablocks... Kid loves HALO, what can you do?
nice haul! though megabloks do not get proper respect, the halo stuff is good. and i am personally excited for the mega bloks power rangers samurai stuff! my son and i have plans of a halo (his) vs. power rangers samurai (soon to be mine) battle royale. i never really dug pirates lego stuff (aside from the video game). and that mindstorm looks interesting...my son got a pretty good lego assortment too: city police station city mobile police unit creator log cabin and, in finishing up the city advent calendar! santa with the fireplace on the 24th was so cool! in comparing them with photos i've seen of the star wars advent calendar (and as much as i like star wars) i'm glad we went with the city version. imo, that sw calendar kind of sucked. all those micro ships are not my thing.
Nice! Definitely post pics of the HALO PR showdown. I am not very enthused about my son taking a liking to Pirates of the Caribbean but I try and not push my views of crappy movies on him. Overall he has pretty good taste for his age. The mindstorms is amazingly cool. People build the craziest stuff with them. If you haven't checked it out youtube it, there are some great videos. 3d printers, rubixcube puzzle solvers, even a Segway.
SPOILER!...in case anyone doesn't want the thrill of finding these on the shelves to be ruined by a skullbrain post. got the new issue of Lego Magazine in the mail today. awesome issue, showing all the upcoming 2012 star wars stuff. new ninjago too. the best part though, the DC Universe minifigures and vehicle sets! so no more flipper prices on batman villain minifigures via ebay, it seems they will all be released in this series as well! along with wonder woman, superman, & lex luthor...and BANE!!! the batman character figures look all prety much the same as the ones that were released years back, except some color variations. the vehicles include an x-wing style batplane, lex luthor's jumbo armor robot, and a variation of joker's henchmen-driven helicopter. all looks pretty great, hoping for more. i am actually most pumped about the ninjago stuff though. the snake team looks promising!
