Hey guys, I was encouraged to share Knights of the Slice here. (Art by Drew Wise with The Yetee) For those of you who are unfamiliar, we amassed a subscriber count of 25k on YouTube and was able to successfully fund our own action figure line, Knights of the Slice, which utilizes the Glyos system. Fast forward, we have over 15 waves of figures, 5 sculpts, and most recently had the privilege of James Groman sculpting our Chakan Figure! Our initial wave of our pizza-wielding crotch toys were tokusatsu inspired. (inital sample) (Metaruda Rift Killer) This year we hosted our first Toy Pizza Con. Some notable collaborations over time include: Super7 Michael Skattum Clutter Studios to produce our very own vinyl: (based off of the proportions and style of Sexual Youkai graphic) And of course, 1000toys With an upcoming collaboration with Acid Rain So that's KOTS in a nutshell. Thank you for checking out this thread!
This thread gives me the same headache I get when my buddy talks about the Marvel universe . . . but the 1000 Toys collaboration kicks ass!
@Anti Social Andy @BleedingEdges Thanks guys! As you can see, the costume was based off of the 1000toys design. It was made by some of the same people who built/made some of the OG Super Sentai suits.
Really cool toys mate, thanks for sharing all the pr0n, its varied and interesting. Great design work going on
Not my cuppa, mostly, but you all get much respect from me for how beautifully executed everything is. Clean and sharp across the board. What's Fire Fight's story? I'm absolutely certain that eight-year-old me would have been all about him.
I'm not familiar with the YouTube history, but the KOTS figures have been one of the most successful fusions of the traditional action figure aesthetic with the Glyos building function. For me, the turning point was when the Vector Jump figure was introduced, allowing you to give the base figure 80s anime-style armor. Since then, the line has been taken in a variety of interesting directions. I would definitely be interested in further collaborative releases with The Worst line.
Oh yeah - these are (rift) killer! Looking forward to seeing what you guys have planned for the future.. Would Action Figure of the Month releases come under this line as well?
We will have more releases soon! Thank you for the kind words! Fire Fight was designed by Brian Flynn and Jesse designed the Horrid Falcon. Thank you man! As for more, NYCC should have something in the works.
This is all your fault anyway haha AFOTM definitely fits under here. It's how we were able to afford tooling for our latest sculpts Device Ninja and Cyber Mama (soon).
DEW GHOUL collab with @michael I got a few others from the 5th anniversary show at Clutter that I love. @nicholasfung these figures are #&@%ing rad.
