Hi Joe! I know! ... I'm still swimming up from the pile of stuff at work!
I'm so excited to have won Hawaiian-type Godzilla (I don't know if it's a real Hawaiian colorway, but the colors are groovy) and that nekid bird!

Thank you Selekta_Nips, I still can't believe it!
Pretty penny though :x , especially with current exchange rates :x

@Mr Humphreys- You're welcome and welcome back!
Ah, so that was you that snag the Goji. Radon? Is that what it is? That's great.
I think you're the undisputed queen of Butanohana now!

    Nice grab Mr. Humphreys!

I think these were released in 2005. I've seen the other figure called "Giant Bird" as well.

    Hey,

The bird is Radon. In the U.S. this character goes by the name Rodan.

The "bare" is probobly referring to the flesh base vinyl.

The Goji is the 1967 version from the film Son Of Godzilla. I don't recall Rodan being in that film though. :?

I think that set came out in '05.

    Hope that helps!

    naughty naughty plastichunter!
Just checking back! Thank you for the details on the toys Plover and Turtletooth! :D A wealth of info there! I will have to try to find the 1967 Son of Godzilla movie (nice to know what Goji stands for), and see if I can do a movie search on the Giant Bird/Rodan. Now I can write-up my toy adoptions in my record book--I am really a geek when it comes to keeping track of my toy purchases  (did you know that handmade Uglydolls have appreciated astronomically over the last 5 years! Not that I'd ever sell them! ;) ).

Kurumonz, Butans are definitely addicting! Now all I have to do is track the little squiddie to add to my adoptions (cough cough... Plover!). He's going to be a tough one. Oh, and vacuum cleaner lady too (still think that she looks like a he!). Wasn't there a squid Butan in one of the Morphy lots? El Maz, where are you? Oh, and the grail of Butans... the SPACEMAN!

Thanks for the nice comments! I'll have to post a more complete photo of my Butans when my box from JP arrives (I think I have a Butan book coming too!). I think I'll wait a few weeks... Isn't Butanohana going to be releasing some new figures soon?
P.S. Darky, I AM glad you forgot! I think most people are still recovering from Christmas, but I just couldn't let this set pass me by! ...and Joe, I'm still waiting to see more photos from you

are you talking about the little octopus/squid buta figure?
no, sadly, that one wasnt in the morphy lot. :(

    and yes...the spaceman...truly a holy grail!

I've only got a few Buta No Hana pieces. These are 2 of my favorites. The rarely seen early brown ape and the oodako.

The Oodako has a Toho license for the 1962 film King Kong vs Godzilla (Kingu Kongu tai Gojira), but the "Kong" figure has no license and is simply stamped "giant ape". Hysterical!(In a very geeky sofubi/daikaiju-dork way  )

Many thanks to a great friend who helped me out with these!

Wow - never even knew that version of the great Ape existed. I love my pink one, but the paint job on that guy rules. I think anybody that's looking for one of those squids/Oodako needs help from a friend acquiring one. I don't check YJA daily or anything, but I haven't seen one on there in a while it seems. If you only have a few Buta pieces, those are great choices.
