The fugliest toys you have seen while collecting.

It makes me wonder if any of the people doing things like this to these figures have ever owned one before. Like, as an actual fan. Maybe they have, but it just seems so careless and uninvolved…

 

I want to believe that these folks have never seen real vintage kaiju sofubi before, or wouldn't recognize it as such. They come from a "[expletive deleted] Culture" where you just use everything as a canvas without consideration for the objects themselves. There are probably many cheap blanks out there for them to "tag."

Every once in a while you will see a Japanese maker do something puzzling like this, but it's rare.

Not sure why these are here. Better sculpts than 99%of what is in this thread and GID and flesh are fine for blanks. “BFA” coming from marusan is maybe a weird interpretation but doesn’t really belong here

 

They will likely be covered in shitty paint jobs making them fugly. Good enough for me.
