These and the thrashout paint versions frequently appear at mandarake. Shouldn't be too hard to find with patience.

Congrats on the karma neko. I'm not a cat guy but I think that toy turned out fantastic. It's the definitive paint job and just pops in my opinion.

I've been out of the loop, but I like that Karma Neko! (I am a cat guy.)

Clever name too... the katakana used to approximate the name is 'Kama Neko'. But 'kama' is also the Japanese word for scythe.

First release via lotto but it's a spitting image to his tattoo art. #youneedtobemod

@bryce_r Thanks, Bryce. I’m definitely a cat guy. And with the passing of Dahlia this past March it sort of feels sort of cathartic in a macabre way to have a physical representation of a “death cat” via collecting. It’s like I’m mentally invoking her through the figure.

@akum6n That is a fantastic factoid about the katakana! Adds even more creativity with the word play! I’m interested to see if he’ll continue to do more masked, stenciled paints like this, or if he will gradually move into more free hand sprays.

I hope they make more of the Tibeo. I’d like to score one at some point.

@Temporal Marauder Headlock does pretty well as far as consistently releasing a figure in variations for some time. Some more than others, but chances are abundant I’d say.

    Wasn’t this just a lottery?

@Temporal Marauder It was. I meant in terms of how often he puts lotteries on for fans to enter. He seems to be on something of a lotto per month, or close to. I’d have to go back and look at his release cycle on IG.

Thank you so much @Mark K, you're the coolest! Especially for the lil Maity!
What a treat it was opening up the box and seeing it filled with Siccaluna.

Good to finally get a Guilala as well, what a lil stinker.
Been meaning to post these guys for nearly 2 weeks now but, sparing the details here, life has been awfully hellish for me.
This parade of monsters was certainly lovely and much needed!

some of you may scoff at this but it was not entirely easy to find a large actual soft vinyl Pikachu in great shape and at a decent price. But after endless scrolling I found a “vintage” NOS 5-6” scale. I’m working towards a cute, mascot-y shelf. No judgements!

@Temporal Marauder Just curious, but is the Pikachu made in Japan or China? This might have been before Pokemon's time, but there were licensed, mass-produced soft vinyl toys still being pulled in Japan until the mid-90s or so.

He’s a Tomy 1998 made in China. I looked pretty hard for something earlier and made in Japan. There was another large sofubi that keep popping up but it was going for like $80-100. I’m not prepared to pay crazy prices for a character that must have millions of pulls out there.

Thanks! Wow, $80-100... don't know if I have seen that one before. I don't know much about the old Pokemon toys, but find it interesting to see what was made back then, now that the original JP merchandise is over 20 years old.

Certainly not, i've been collecting vinyl Pikachu for years. One of the biggest versions i have is a vinyl hand puppet i've stuffed with plastic bags to make him solid. Pikachu used to be easy to find at boot sales etc, but nowadays they are becoming hard to find.

Here's a photo i took years ago, this only shows about 60% of the collection i have now.

These were more recent releases that have a very nice pearlescent coating ...
