Dope little finger puppet dudes from Nijiyana, who needs a thread on here double-quick.

They're very slightly rougher up close than I imagined from photos, but I think that comes down to some hidden sculpt texture and hand-brushing for details instead of masks. I can't fault either. Still very clean, but more obviously handmade.

 

Been letting things accumulate at the warehouse in Japan for a while. Finally time to ship it all over...now I have an epic box day!

This new Shirahama Toy Matango also showed up the other day courtesy of Astro Zombies.
The sculpt and size is great, plus it glows like a mofo. I'm looking forward to seeing a painted glow version.

 

You seen the OG version right? . . . Brown sludge marbling with gold/red accent spray.

HA! So, simply 100% relatable reasons!

Not like the ethical reasons that discourage me from using Amazon. Just making sure!

 

Wonder if that's what Shirahama based their marbled version on? I was just talking with a friend about how impressive the marbling was on this. Even the gold seemed to ✨magically✨ end up in all the proper places!

At first, I mistakenly thought it was just marbled raisin colors with gold sprays, until I saw the vat of goop which clearly contained a metallic gold vinyl.
I theorized maybe the micro metal flakes accumulate in certain areas due to the gravitational force after spinning in the centrifuge. But, maybe it's just in the pour itself?
