Just got mine in the mail today and I'm starting clean up on it. It's a little bigger than I expected, and rounder! For some reason I was picturing it being more flat, like a cheap plastic soldier.

I was similarly surprised when I first got one!

Easy clean up, fun figure too. Looks like the Aurora model kit Godzilla's little brother

Love the Marmit biollante toys. Still desperate to find the pink/blue rose biollante. But all the biollante toys are great. Love giant monster flowers.

Those really are fantastic! The rose form Biollante figures are especially hard to get ahold of, it seems. I have that pink/blue one, as well as one of the "adult" Biollante's from Marmit. HUGE toy!

Yes, I saw the adult green/purple biollante and it was huge. I actually had ordered it and it arrived broken so I sadly had to send it back. Is the blue adult version smaller? From pics I have seen on flikr it looked smaller to me than the green one.

I must to say my favorite Godzilla Figure is the Pilot Ace King Ghidorah and the Hedorah.

Which version is it? there are so many of Marusan and Bullmark that is very easy confused (Well in some cases only varies the position of the tail) if I'm not mistaken the first version is the Aurora.

By the way it is a beautiful piece!

    Best regards!

Oh yes, the second release sculpt is quite a bit smaller yet still very impressive. Here is a pic which shows helps to show the relative size.

I am not sure if you would classify this figure as "vintage"....but it is one of my personal favorites. I have seen very few of them but I have seen others in the Bandai 1983 KAIJU SERIES collection...such as Ultraman, Z-Ton { Zeeton }, and Red King. The figure is in nice shape with a box that is...well....displayable and still colorful. The plastic window is missing...which thankfully does not take away from how it displays...in my opinion. It is definitely an item that stands out from the rest.

^^^ Nice pick-up! That is one of Bandai's earliest Godzilla figures. Not positive but isn't it solid rubber/vinyl, not hollow vinyl like the subsequent kaiju figures?

Well...it definitely does not feel like the hollow hard vinyl of the early tagged Bandai figures...like the 1983 Bandai '62 and '64...and ESPECIALLY the '84. I am not sure if you can call this figure a "vinyl" figure...as it does feel like semi-hard rubber with wiring {?} inside for poseability. It reminds me of a larger version of this item...with a different look and form.....

Of course, they both are fine additions to my collection. I just never realized just how similar these two figures are. :)

Btw...to answer a question that was given to me a while back...it is dated 1978. I apologize for taking so long to respond on that inquiry.

^^^ Nice carded example of that rare "bendy" toy. They were made in 1978 by GLC. I have three of them in the collection, only one of which does not have any of the bendy wires broken.

same! i watched this movie in the theaters as a kid. it has a special place in my heart.
may i ask what the official name of this figure is?

The name of the 1998 Godzilla figure was renamed to Zilla by Toho in 2004 coinciding with its appearance in Godzilla: Final Wars.

(not to tread on anyone's nostalgia--if that thing actually brings you joy, cool!)

Lovely figure! The greenish hue of the vinyl is really striking. In hand, I could probably stare at that for hours.

Really weird that they used the title treatment from the Marvel Godzilla comic series. Odd. Same timeframe as the comic, too. Gotta find the connection.

    Nice piece, though.
