I believe its the first time i have seen a Buta halloween figure. Although i hope this is not the new trend of Buta retail prices.
Hmm. The weight has definitely shifted on his output, is he heading to an all costume policy? Afraid to even ask about the price (couldn't find it)...
Seems like the undies Amuro shares a body with the Halloween Skeleton. I was really psyched about the clothed ones at first. (Breaking new ground for buta!) But now I can't bring myself to open the baggies for fear of soiling the pretty light colored fabrics... Anyways, this style feels more laboured than the natural refinement we're used to with the best buta. On the other hand releasing only one more expensive toy instead of 4 cheaper ones saves shelfspace. And maybe time for other work for Mr Ohashi if the Mrs is responsible for the sewing.
Very well spotted man, it definitely looks to me as well as the same body, with a new head sculpt; a recycling I don't necessarily begrudge. Sad to see these once again be more bait for aftermarket flippers though. I haven't yet placed the inspiration for the fellow (not having done any specific research for lack of time, but nothing springs immediately to mind), but I have no doubt there is one.
So it's from a new line called "karate chop man": Spoiler View this post on Instagram Very promising I would say.
Really? Will he be there in person, or is it going to be through one of the other sellers, if you don't mind me asking? Not looking for muling, because, really, does that ever work?, but just genuinely curious. If it is the former, and Oohashi-san is going to start attending (and supplying) international cons (and fans) then that is some truly exciting and positive news.
It would be very nice to see Mr. O attending on our side of the pond! Knowing his fondness for food, I'd definitely bring a hot plate full of and say hi! Then ask if he had a spare set of green Buta Baltans, and pink Alien Zarabs
Can you just imagine if Oohashi ever unleashed a trove of NOS Butas, like Yuji did at the last G-Fest? Wow, many hearts would stop, I have no doubt. Haha, we can dream, can't we? Thanks for reminding me of all those pictures now from SFs of yore, with tables of precious Buta bounty, Grace!
So, a new watercolor up on the blog showing some kaiju; is it a shout to Gargamel for repping for him or is that a hint? A zag? Really?
The proportions are puzzling. Is it a lesothosaurus? p.s. those pandababs look like they are made up of pistachio kulfi, with milk choc noses (very edible!)
