Cheers @The Moog ! yeah it’s a chunky piece of vinyl. It really looms over other toys. Amazing in hand.
Beautiful collection Bob! Your shelfs are meticulously organized and truly show that a lot of love and care went into the selection of your toys! Thanks for sharing
I spend too much time looking for keshi on YJA, so it's a big influence on me. Also sold a lot of stuff over the years for Life stuff. To top it off, I'm kind of a lazy slob w/no attention span. So here is a picture of all I have left arranged like a bulk keshigomu auction. Lots you can't see; tough. It's what you think you see that makes these auctions work. Pigpile
Hint: The pile is about as deep as my 2nd tallest Miura. Where's Walildo? Roughly 216 pcs. of funky used stuff.
Belchor was either cracked post production or in transport. Very sad. Those 3 horns are very heavy, solid resin and one just pulled over and let go. I still have it around somewhere, but now I have a rough idea for a funky rural custom just for my own use, not to sell. Think of it as a potential candidate for decor in today's gracious home.
Of course, when the shot is done I have to put away the lights and cloths, move things back and carefully put the toys back on their freshly dusted shelves. I used that to rotate the pieces that I have out. WIP; am waiting for more turtles and rabbits. PS I hid the one (d_nny) that I own from this shot:
It's been a good few years since the cabinets along the back wall have been accessible (with various motorcycles and BMX bikes parked in front of them) . . . Unfortunately they are already lost again behind a makeshift kitchen while refurbishments are underway, but to commemorate the 'Once in a Blue Moon' opportunity to take a full pic . . . this is the Wailing Wall of Base (some newer stuff still stuck in storage as space has reached critical mass).
I think there was a shot of Pogue's collection once, a long time ago. I believe that this tops it. Hugely impressive!
I think this is the first time I've seen a group picture of Andy's toys! ... also, this will give the lemon completists something to scrutinize.
@Anti Social Andy haha man I’d love a look in the vault! (and there’s still a few on that top shelf I need to try and track down)
That display is incredible. Lovely selection where the level of presentation matches the toys themselves, even if they are now obscured by a temporary kitchen and other life things.
you know I’m gonna have to spend a bit going over this picture, and there will be questions. even after a quick glance there’s already a few of those fighters I’d like to know more about!
Realized that my last shot was kind of lazy: I realize that it's not so much a collection as a small, random assortment of flotsam and jetsam that attracted me at some point, minus 17 years of buying and selling. Can't photograph regrets. I also figured that my goal earlier this spring was to get everything down to 2 shelves and move on. I failed. Each of those shelves is almost a yard wide and they're stacked 2-3 deep in some places. I don't know what to say about the floor. Some sort of non ikea solution is clearly called for. Also, I need more turtles and minis.
