Looking back at the first post on this thread, I don't consider this fugly in any way.

When will we get a two headed mudbelly sporting dick nipples and a top hat?

 

Already in the works. Gonna put maggots and stitches all over it like sprinkles on a sundae.

 

Incidentally, I was very tempted to ask Stephen to sculpt a butthole on the Mudbelly a la Bwana's Killer to reference Skydon, but for once in my life I exercised restraint.

 

That "sculpture" deserves jail time. Whoever told that guy he's an artist did the world a real disservice.

This one actually isn’t so bad when it’s painted WAY more simplified. Gives off modern yokai vibes to me, but this paint app is…a thing.

 

Yeah, the sculpt is fine, I think the face/stomach thing has been overused last couple years though. I did post mainly for the paint job, another creech 'one off' car wreck.

 

See I would like the sculpt if it has no face belly at all. It looks like a really awesome frog bog monster without it. But that stupid face…

 

So many toys these days suffer from too many ideas mushed into one piece. PICK SOMETHING. You don't need to cram every idea you've ever had into one toy. I think of the showbiz term "a hat on a hat". Each cool individual thought is muddled and diluted.

 

I call that trend "ten pounds of shit in a five pound bag."
