I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but I really like this one. It seems well thought out/designed/executed.

... actually like this enough that not only do I not think it's ugly, but I'm going to add this to the track one done list.

Am I missing the joke on this? Why is this "dog"gira? (Inugira? Kengira?)

    Where's the puppy?

Fair enough. To me it looks like a mirrored digital sculpt, with the 'oh so original' two-headed shtick ...

That first one, great example of “mirrored digital sculpt”… why do people think that looks good?

and therein lies the problem, they're not thinking and they don't notice it.

Yeah, I can get with that. I don't "deduct points" for two heads, but I can definitely see not liking a mirrored sculpt. I don't mind the body being mirrored at, but would definitely liked two different heads (and a neck with a touch more movement attached to one of them). Still quite like it though!

I think he actually sculpts all his figures in clay. My issue is more with the lack of declaring a price, it reeks of setting it as high as possible once he asses the quality and quantity of the entries.

Ugh, hand sculpting is rad, but pricing like this is extremely no bueno.

Yeah, the photo isn't the best really, it's quite possible. I've noticed one of the heads is different, but its mirrored looking otherwise. I'm just a little tired of seeing two heads on toys, is admittedly my main problem. Two heads is the sofubi equivalent of Comic Sans, at this point ...

The samurai robot thing and the skull dude look like they’re more meant to be action figures than sofubi. I don’t know why they didn’t just go for that. Probably not enough money involved.
Those human-rabbit mascots kind of make me feel like I’ve had enough of the internet today.

That unknown_maker_toys version is pretty rad, honestly. The proportions are very Donkey Kong and I like the stature and open hands.

This thread makes me feel so conflicted. A large part of me believes people should do what makes them happy as long as they're not hurting anyone and express themselves using a medium they enjoy working with. It doesn't matter whether others understand one's "art" if what they're creating makes them feel fulfilled in some way. Meanwhile, my eyes fucking hurt.
