the neck part is just flexible plastic tubbing, vinyl would be to thick.

 

cool concept, but those tubes get damaged so easily. I'm not crazy about mixing in pieces of hard plastic toys into sofubi as accessories or part of the sculpt.

 

Ha! I like the extendo giraffe too. Same thoughts on the neck though. I think it would break if you played with it too much. Nice concept though.

I have some vintage Japanese soft vinyl toys with the same extending mechanism- works perfectly after all the years and is fun to play with

 

The real question is do you actually like them, or are you just hungry? Because damn, if they were edible…

Q: is the unflattering presentation for these (and I mean all of them) an aesthetic choice to fit the toy? The bad design and photos are an intentional part of the social package, right? I think too literally most of the time and am maybe now just getting it. But then again, someone put significant image masking/clipping time into some…and then just bombs away to IG. I am so dizzy from this last batch.

 

Shame about the blatant kaws ripoff. The original mickiv was actually a really cool toy

It's a new generation. It's what they like, so it's what they get. Our choices are meaningless except to our selves and perhaps to a few friends or peers. Time marches on with really ugly boots.

 

Hmmn... so, I have a few questions...

Is this a cat, bear, beaver or chubby squirrel?
Is that a pseudo cape, as a child would wrap a bedsheet around their shoulders and pretend to be a super hero OR is it a moob holder that references Daisy Duke in pop culture?
Is the blue and pink item a fanny pack or a very limp axe that looks like it is channelling wanting to be an envelope?
Is said chubby animal wearing pink underwear and is that a smiley face on them or an attempt at referencing the three holes on a bowling ball... "strike!!!"
Lastly, what is a Lottevy? Do you enter these hoping not to win?

Whatever the woodland creature is, I feel sorry for them because you can tell, a little like Frankenstein's monster, even they are questioning their existence. Hang in there little buddy, someone will be desperate enough to enter the Lottevy in hopes of procuring your existential angst.
