I kinda like the Garamon, but what's the base color vinyl? Black?
A principal I learned early in this community is "let the base vinyl shine".

 

Yeah, I do too, but my gut tells me it's fugly. I think I enjoy watching Frank's journey as an artist and his passion for sofubi more than the toys themselves.

 

Frank’s got such a great attitude when it comes to creating and making toys, even if I’m not too keen on much of what he puts out. Just a cool as fuck dude. Straight up, I really, really like his Garamon take. It’s chonky and looks fun, but it carries his evil signature.

 

If at first you don't succeed making a toy fugly ... try, try again.

 

the tractor toys are pretty awesome (not really into skull long neck dino guy tho) but it's funny how he regretted his company name and just changed it to sludge. pretty weird move for people that have been collecting his stuff.

Using Meats as the platform & Lucha Libre as the inspiration, I’d say this is spot on. The important details are the accessories, and the mask/ belt are done well. Understand it can be fugly to others who don’t get it/ don’t care for Lucha libre/ wrestling or whatever, but I totally get it.

 

For me it’s too clean, Meats is supposed to have wounds, right? How come his outfit is so pristine? I’d try to make it look worn, a few bloodstains, something like that. But that’s just me!

The Creature - lookin’ Camarada Neanderthal is pretty rad. If it’s a 6” or taller toy I’d probably want one. The Minsdead elephant thing is morbidly cute, too.

I don't find them particularly fugly, but I do think they always look like something Medicom would sell (for a more reasonable price.)

 

Probably an unpopular opinion but I've always thought gargamel's standard tetrans were eye sores, regardless of one eyed or two. These 2 especially so

 

I kind of liked the hand thing till I scrolled up and saw the front of it.
