Saw this guy in person and I have to admit, I want one. First Ron English toy that I will own but I think that's more to the fact that this is really a Secret Base collab.

So SDCC's gonna feature two new Le Merde resin sculpts (Tango/Le Kappa Tokoji) as well as new Bangal and Mini Hollis vinyl colorways? Plus the minis, the rings, the metal Burgerbuns, the shirts...

I mean wow.

 

So much new stuff with Le Merde, that's insane and delicious!

 

WoW! Love that Big Battel guy... all those metallics look great together. I wish Marmit would do a better job of painting the eyes on kaiju with big distinct eyes like that. Alot of the Sky Devilers have pretty crude eyes as well.

 

Just a reminder for everyone going gaga over Gargamel . . . it's usually cash only . . . take plenty and knock yourselves out!

 

Good advice. Smaller booths and artists selling prints and sketchbooks will generally prefer cash. Bring some from home or find out if your bank has a branch in downtown San Diego because the ATMs inside the convention center usually have pretty long lines and service fees.

 

YUMMY. This will be the nth Ron English toy I own - but made all teh sweeter by being a collab with my favorite toy line SB.

I have teh urge to display skeleton and body separately. Marvellous. COuld only be made better with articulated arms - now THAT would RULE!

 

Coursetoys early stuff is interesting, but not into this sculpt IMO.

BUT......they do come with superawesomeamazing packaging you can store in the closet and think fondly of when you're looking at the shitty toy that came in it.

 

Someone needs to ask them "How much for the box without the toy" and youtube it.
I think liquidsky had it right though, lots of crap, but there are a lot of gems this year too.

 

I like the Pocky-style zipper package on the Ron English toy. The red translucent is winning me over too. Paw box looks nice too even though I'm not into the toy.

 

OMFG Definitely going to pick this up!

 

Shame the Helper ain't a mini . . . woulda sat well in the onster Family!
