Hi Plastichunter, Thank you so much for a really nice comment. I'm really happy with how this one came out and the way you discribed it brought a smile to my face. Thank you again.
wtf, how long have i been away from here? coop is on the boards? insane awesome work coop, grease and beyond
Great stuff, Greasebat! I really like the TV monster. That TV screen is awesome! 3-eyed monster is awesome too. Can easily picture myself holding these guys in vinyl form. and the craziest funkiest kaijus creations from Mr. Cooper.
Thanks...we shall see what transpires...meanwhile, here's the line art for a band summer tour poster I just did. I'll add some halftone shading, the band names up top, then two colors. They are screen printing it..
Ya know Jeff, it's the little things like the back door that's flung open on the black van that makes your stuff so great. AWESOME!!!
I was messing around today, and decided to do this little number. *there's only one non-monster there Todd is a modern Egyptian God summoned onto the earth by a döner sandwich restaurant owner, hoping to bring in more customers. The owner mispronounced a word, causing the summation of Todd rather than Hathor. Todd's original name is Hathoar, but preferred a western name. Dressed with a cuff crewneck, raw denim, some obscure-afterlife sneakers, and a large rugged deth-pyramid as a head, he sets off to befriend monsters and goth ninjas, and battle tomm-wearing hippies.
Here's a piece that I did that definitely monster related (but not too kaiju related). I did this for the Covered Blog, and it's a re-draw of a Swamp Thing cover that I liked. Lemme know if you guys like it!
Thanks guys! Here's another piece that I did a while back. It's of the yokai Jikininki. They're very cool ancient japanese ghost/zombie/ghouls (and what I used for my avatar here on skullbrain)!
I'll second that, Worlds Finest cover was no scratch (http://coveredblog.blogspot.com/2010/04 ... inest.html) Lovin' your stuff.
Such great style diversity in this thread. Nice work Stone, WInu, Jeff, Hedoro, Gatchabert & Jimpaler
