Re: Anraku Photos! I have to admit that I have not been so excited about a toy release for quite a while.
Re: Anraku Photos! Looks like numerous stores have these for pre-order. I must admit this is one of the highlights of my many years of collecting. Thanks to all who are responsible.
Re: Anraku Photos! ^^ The fact that you get to pick and choose the best deal from NUMEROUS retailers only makes it all the more surreal...
Re: Anraku Photos! I think the Gogas were supposed to be on Medicom a few days ago, but I haven't seen them up. I also ordered through Lulu. Hope the quality is high and doesn't dip to to the large order.
Re: Anraku Photos! Is the Dako figure getting a similar release in the future? I think I would rather save my $$$ for one of those if that is the case
Re: Anraku Photos! That's a concern of mine as well. Month-long order period, worldwide (more or less), no limits..! I'm already thinking that there will be delays due to the numbers, so i'm expecting them to ship in 2016--that's just my way of not going insane with anticipation, haha. Will they be made in Japan? I wish I knew more about this release. Unbelievable release...!
Re: Anraku Photos! From what I understand from the interview AA entrusted existing molds to medicom toy and they Will do most of the labor... "About 15 species, including such other version differences of dragon has also been entrusted all. Together with the reprint, it seems to be presented at the pace of monthly 1-3 goods."
Re: Anraku Photos! I think the quality will be alright. These are japan factory made and painted. Another good news is the dako is cheaper and mini dako is only 3800yen
Re: Anraku Photos!
Another good news is the dako is cheaper and mini dako is only 3800yen
where you have heard or read?
Re: Anraku Photos! Yeah seriously that's the one I was waiting for! So I take it this is just a release that will be up later on Medicom, much like how they stagger releases (i.e. like the Triton of Sea) every few months?
Re: Anraku Photos! ^^^well that rules. AA is just one of those lines that I thought i'd never get a taste of...I remember begging a friend for help getting on the list years ago. I'd still love to eventually own some of the older pieces I've seen, but this is great news. Focus number 3...?
Re: Anraku Photos! I hate to be a pessimistic curmudgeon but I am passing on these right now. Not that I don't like them although the paint does seem a little lack luster for AA. Also with it being an open release for so long I'm sure every collector will get one and every flipper will get at least five leading to an excess supply for the actual demand. Kinda like when Zollmen did the green maza open run and people couldn't sell them for below retail on ebay after they went out. If that happens with the Goga I will def buy one for below retail! ::afterthough edit:: Can you imagine the alarms that are going off in the heads of the unrealistic idiotic flippers like GSC for these!
Re: Anraku Photos! Can you imagine the alarms that are going off in the heads of the unrealistic idiotic flippers like GSC for these! That's unfortunetely one of the first things I thought. Also, I can't wait for the "I like it but prefer some of the older colors" tradebait threads. I would like to see a drunk boy. It's my favorite sculpt.
Re: Anraku Photos! I read they were available from Masato for 24kYen! That aside, every collector getting one, flippers getting five and not being able to sell them even at retail, Medicom making $$$ and more Anraku lite down the line hardly sounds like a bad scenario to me? And if the paintjobs end up looking like shit you can still customize or barbecue them...
Re: Anraku Photos! I'd love some clear unpainted ones. I have two sets of the Goga guts I'd like to put to use.
Re: Anraku Photos! My concern is that every customizer will buy one or 2 and attempt a paint flip, thinking a "1-off" Goga will still bring in the big bucks.
Re: Anraku Photos! Wow! Not at all sure how to reply. This s an historic collaboration between one of Japan's premier kaiku creators (Anraku} and Medicom (one of the worlds greatest toy companies). It is going to make some of the greatest Kaiju ever created avalable to a whole lot of people. There is NOTHING to complain about. So shut your pieholes.
Re: Anraku Photos! I'm wondering if they decided to do an open preorder on one of their more sought after toys to finance the process for molds on a new figure? I don't collect Anraku, I just kinda had the thought, given the overly positive reaction and concern this has brought.
Re: Anraku Photos! I think Medicom is well past the point of worrying about having money tied up in mold production. I think it's just a simple tactic to give people what they want and make money.
Re: Anraku Photos! my first attempt at kaiku: monsters from the east impossible to collect suddenly are ours
