Seems like all the mechs zags have been paired with the green deathra has it been like that in previous years? I really hope I get a me ha zag in my bag
Dream bag, for sure. EDIT: Scratch that - a dream bag would contain the Mecha Miborah. Thanks for digging those up for me, Maddie!
Yes, usually there are 2-3 set versions of standard bags. Then if you get a rarer figure it is typically 1 of those bags with the 1 toy replaced.
Finally picked mine up at the post office. Same mix as Nate's, so no images to post, but a great bag. From what I have seen, a good year for all!
Judging by the results it looks like this year there are two general combinations of standard size figures, each bag containing either the green Deathra & traditional color Mecha-Zag, or the clear green Zag & colorful, milky vinyl Garudan. This is my first lucky bag and I'm anxious as hell to get my shipping confirmation from Super7. With what I've seen so far I don't think I can be disappointed with the outcome. My least favorite would be the Deathra as I'm not a huge fan of the lime green, but the Mecha-Zag in those Bullmark colors would make up for that. The Garudan is just gorgeous...
Interesting that we've only seen the one Mecha Miborah and no other hand paints or one-off's. Guess we've only really seen about 6 to 8 bags so far though right?
has there been any one offs the last couple years since gargamel has attended dcon? i wonder if dcon has an influence since its such a short time between it and the bags. V *rodger that, thanks
I think my bag from Super 7 will come early next week. I really hope to get a painted standard mech zag (1 in 2 chance?), or an unpainted mech miborah (1 in x chance?). I have been buying these so long, though, and really never have exceptional luck. I remember buying a bag for $450 years ago and not getting a single figure that I wanted. Of course back then you could spend, I believe $1500 and get a bag with all standard figures included. I'm glad all the bags are at least standardized now in price and number of figures. I am sure there are many more surprises that will pop up over the next month. This is still just the beginning.
Still new to the LB ( last year was my first bag ) ... was wondering how many bags are usually available ?
You guys just making up numbers.... Obviously its only around 16 bags as i never see more bags then that posted on this thread.
Keep in mind that there pretty much were no one-offs last year, or at least to our own knowledge. Since posting pulls HERE seems to be "less cool" than doing so on IG... I'm just gonna put all your IG photos here. @benjamin_wan_ @zacksoto @fahdrn @bananapoons aka Bwana Spoons @wing_kan1972 @sooolazy @darryscc @gorman6868 @goldpanthers82 @mildthree Hope that's enough IG eyecandy for you all. My bag is on it's way, I think... USPS tracking is silly.
I missed the days of these big bags. Those days when there is still physical sale where u have to brave the cold on new year day.
Thanks for putting all those photos up here Maddie. Still the best to hit one thread and see so much. Wish we could get more people to post bags on here. I'd like to see Gargamel start a reveal policy, where you show your bag online. They create an incentive to post. Maybe using a coupon/token received in the bag, then one of the coupons gets pulled from a random draw for a bonus figure (like a zodiac figure), that should get the iphones out.
Personally I'm really happy with what I've soon so far. Each combination has one standard figure i'd love so I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed when I receive mine. Garudan, mecha zag and mecha mib are all awesome!
Mecha Zagoran with Bullmark colors for the win. I don't even follow modern toys anymore really but I would not mind having this. Won't buy a bag to try an score it but if a solo one came up aftermarket...edit at non ridiculous price
It looks as though Mandarake (and a customer) believe the painted cyborg zag is a rarer pull since they just sold one for 35,000 yen! Could be a clue, or just business as usual
They seem to be popping up pretty regularly, so I'm just going with short term perceived value or someone willing to be bent over. According to a guy with way more experience than me, the Japanese see unpainted blanks as 'unfinished' and not as desirable as painted items. Blanks, marbling and mixed parts are a relatively new phenomenon influenced by Western collectors hopping the bandwagon and having a hard-on for 'prototypes' and 'test-pulls.
Daaamn, a Go-ju AND a Mecha Zag? How many Jordans, yo? But seriously, congrats to folks who took the plunge. I have such shit luck with blind bag type deals and/or have become pickier out of necessity, so no more bags for me. I will live vicariously through this thread.
Thanks Andy, interesting insight! It does seem like blanks of all kinds are usually super cheap Mandarake, Oneup, etc. Now who wants to paint up this cyborg miborah and help send me into early retirement?!? Just kidding you fiends...still NFS
Blanks are beautiful and i do like them. But I see all these toys though, as living, breathing creatures. I can't see blanks as these creatures. just as toys. Does that make sense? i think so. Hard to resist the temptation to paint blanks and bring them to life.
