The events that took place are horrible and speak to the lowest depths of humanity to have committed to such aggression against folks that dedicated their talents to creating works to bring others joy. I was introduced to a few of the animators who died through other friends in Japan.

On my part to each of you, and anyone else whom may have been upset at anything I ever had say, I am sorry to have not been able to resolve matters with any of you. I don't expect this to bridge gaps between us... rather, on my part just want to acknowledge your value.

We live in a beautiful world, yet it's hard to see that at times. I will say over time I have enjoyed content all of you contributed here and if nothing else I will just simply say thank you for those contributions. Thank you to everyone that contributed positive content to this place and the world we all live in.

Thank you, to Kyoto animation studio for so many wonderful memories and cherished moments to reflect on today. Animation is truly magical, we all lost part of something so special it's hard to say more.

So after reading this I heard more about it on YouTube and yeah it's really terrible. All it takes is one unhinged person to ruin shit for everyone. No one deserves to be burned to death like that.

This attack was shocking, and I am incredibly saddened by the loss of life resultant. My sincere condolences go out to all the family, friends, and coworkers of those affected by this incident. Cases like this always stress [to me] two main importances in society, which I think it we need to address: (1) hatred and intolerance, and (2) treatment for mental illness. We can't speculate as to the cause, and I am not suggesting there is any link at all in this particular case, but when I think of popular topics of conversation currently, I can't help but reflect on the urgent need (if we care about society as a whole, and are not just self-interested) to think about how not paying attention to these things leads to so much worse.

Sad news to learn of today. :(

The unimaginable has happened again and it makes me sad. Pick a direction and there's something awful to see. I wish that I could help these people's friends and families with my thoughts, but really all I'm doing is typing into the ether.

Best we can do is try to exact change in our own communities, and be as kind as we're able to to those we meet. Hopefully it spreads.
