Realised I'm taking a lot of low light photos these days, because I come back from work after sundown and take a toy out to unwind. It definitely takes more thought from me than daytime photography, so I thought it would be cool to collect everyone's efforts at creative lighting and long exposures in a thread. It could be at night, or inside a cave, or in your lightbox; just keep it shadowy Here are some faves of mine so far: Hope to see some dope photos from everyone!
I like this thread already. I’ve taken so many photos of toys at night, but they generally get posted in the urban settings thread. I love takin’ my toys out on the skreets of Phoenix!
@blakewest I wish the purple highlights were in the actual paint! But it's really the church sign across my street, which goes purple sometimes. I've learned to time photos with it @xSuicide Squadx your night photos definitely inspired this thread as well, especially the recent series you did in front of neon signs
My iPhone isn’t nearly as good as my girlfriends Pixel 3 at low light photos. I can get some decent blacklight ones though
There is a lot to like on this thread,. and I apologise for not knowing the names of the pieces, but my favourites are the two headed werewolf, specifically the second photo with the cardboard boxes/trash in the background, and 'Bring out the Gimp' (aka Panther / Bear wrestlers).
Great names Nekomata by Shirahama, and Wild Cross + Bear The Ted by Ilu Ilu and Utsugiyo respectively
Buta boys out in Brooklyn. Focusing on these guys is a little much for my phone, so sadly these aren't as crisp as I'd like. Still, felt very lucky to come by these three over the last couple of weeks and wanted to share.
I really need to look into/invest in legitimate editing software ‘cause the shit I’m using now chops the fuck out of pixels in my photos. But it’s the best I can do for now.
