I actually think this is a fair price. It is still lots of money but these don't come up much and having three companies involved makes the fan base bigger. A lot of these sets have been broken up too so getting a complete set all at once is worth a premium. I wonder if anyone has all the thrashout exclusives/colorways.
Yup - agreed. I am also intrigued who has the full set - u must be close Glenn? I have Head and Blob, but missing Evil and Bigaro Headpiece.
Hell yeah . . . It is a high price tag given the current financial climate but that's the first complete set I've seen in a loooooong time! I can see that being on quite a few of peoples 'grail' lists so I'm kinda surprised it didn't go higher!
Interesting. Are u talking about collabs beyond RxH, as all I have heard of RxH related are: Mutant Evil Mutant Head Bigaro Headpiece
You're only counting collabs? So, for example, out of nine 4th anniversary releases, you're only counting four? http://gargamel.jp/newsrelease/2008s.html
For the insane RxH collector, a complete Thrashout Bigaro is very difficult to find alongside a Mutant Head in the same colorway, since the set came bagged with only one body and two heads. There was one at Mandarake in Shibuya, which was snapped up by an infamous boardmember recently, but that's it. I have never seen one for sale other than that one. In terms of other figures...the Thrashout colorway rules. I really liked the way the Mummyboy came out actually....and can't wait to get my hands on a standard Zag with that big red eye.
1- That new Mutant sculpt RULES!!!! 2- Will Unpainted Milky Man be released or was it a gift? 3- What color vinyl is that Green Chaos on, looks like it might be black vinyl under a ton of paint? 4- Thanks for another awesome tale from Japan/Mori Scott!
oh crap...that mutant head on the left in the second picture is nuts. and me not getting there for a week the new sculpt is cool...i'll need to see it up close to check out the details. great report scott! thanks!
Cool Scott, thanks again! Blue huh, like on the chest? That's nuts, looks cool, reminds me of earlier Chaos paints. Also I'm excited for the milky Fighter. On the Mutant sculpt: It's interesting/different to see the guts sculpted to the actual figure vs. the normal "guts-in-clear vinyl" move, but I like it.
Actually, *pushing up glasses*, it's not milky but clear bubble. Mori made sure to point that one out. It's the same as the ones way back with light blue and light green sprays. It's sweet.
Well well well, even better then! Not to "poo-poo" the milks, but I really like the original bubble colors. Thanks again for more savory info.
Thanks for the photos, Scott. I guess I visited in the quiet before the storm. The painted version of the new MH is really interesting. Now we know the reason for the 'yellow cap' MH1s. So will the first MH be retired once this new one comes out?
I almost fully give on on collecting RxH. All the really really cool limited shit is only sold instore so I almost will never have a chance at getting them unless I actually live in Japan and check his store out regularly. So much for being a long time collector, your will never get realized for your support. Flippers get more exclusive figures. Arghhh ... I do really like the new mutant head though. To bad getting a more limited one is all but impossible.
I'm really liking that new sculpt. and the bubble chaosfighter isn't milky but "clear"? ...aw shit...can a brotha get a break from the new vinyl colors/effects/combinations of both?
I totally understand.. worst of both worlds has me focusing on the older stuff. would really like the new green chaos but I have to realize it will most likely never happen. ps - thx for the info and pics scott.
