the S7 anaversery is in june.. (I think) in SF. this event is called nanasaru, it is at monkey king in LA on the 31st. two seperate events.
here's hoping to score one of those on the for sale forum! and my comment containing the phrase "us out-of-towners are fucked" wasn't meant as an unhappy statement, i'm wishing you all the best of times at this event! i know you all will regardless, just a little depressing know that i'm gonna miss out!
Looks like a clear Visighost is waiting for lucky attendees, if the hint on the blog is for real... Hope there are party favors leftover for the rest of us!
OK ... Back to the Hull Building Mystery, I find lots of movie locations along that street, but nothing else (yet) at that building. MGM Studios (later the Sony Complex) was at 10202 W. Washington, Hal Roach Studios was at 8822 W. Washington, and the old RKO/Pathé Studios was at 9336 - Seznick, Desilu, apparently almost every studio made either movies or TV along this stretch of road. Gone With The Wind, Citizen Kane and King Kong were all filmed at various locales along on W. Washington. The Hull Building, and thus the restaurant Akasha, seems to be smack on the corner of W. Washington and Watseka, but the address listed for Akasha is '9543 Culver Boulevard' - Is Culver Boulevard just another name for W. Washington? You can see the old numbers 100 and 200 and a new number 9543 on the face of the building, but I'm not sure which street the 100/200 address numbers are on. A quick location search at imdb found a zillion movies with Culver City location credits, but nothing for the Hull Building or several of the tenant names. I just see Hint 2 now ... That's Starcade, and the Hull Building was Flynn's Arcade ... and this is coincidence?
A sneak peak from the s7 newsletter: The guy on the left has a gargamel style metal eye, but the colors seem kind of rumble monster-ish. Anyone have any idea what that is?
sorry I asked.. well if anyone has info on the figures please feel free to pm me. Didn't know this was some super secret.
That new Garg figure looks like some sort of bat. I think that pic is upside down. And the MCP and Mummy images look sweet. It's going to be an awesome event.
