I almost posted the link to that auction on the board, but I noticed that you were bidding. How much did they go for?

I have to ask... why do people like these, other than the fact that they may be hard to get?

I have to disagree - sure, Frank pushed them into something of a spotlight, but that big, round body and those skinny legs and sinous trunk are a fine design - they are a bit of humor on ones toyshelf (or would've been if I'd won 'em). They sold for what will amount to around $460 w/o shipping to the US, or wherever the celga bidder lives. Quite a lot... but they haven't been showing up for sale, so who knows, a bit overpriced maybe.

well, i remember Frank having one and many people (VGA included) were interested in them, and there were threads about it... and later on, frank scored the black one too.
and i agrre with you, Laffin... i think the characters are pretty cool, but out of my range.
