As its rare that I geek out for any band. I had to post: RFTC FANS REJOICE! Speedos new band ,The Night Marchers, is starting to play shows in a few weeks. But only on the west coast for now. He's said that there will be a sxsw show with marked men, dan sartain and the night marchers. Holy crap! Yours truly makes an appearance on the trailer of this dvd. http://www.youtube.com/v/J09oMedFDVs&rel=1 and in no less thrilling news Rick frobergs new band is playing shows and theres pretty good live recording of one floating around.
RFTC Great news! Finally that damn DVD is coming out! I havent been to the Swami's site in a while, I gave up on looking for news. Its great to see him back in action and hopefully this new band lives up to the RFTC Legacy.
Reis' new thing, the Night Marchers, intend to do just that and then some. Comprised of Reis, his old Hot Snakes-handlers Gar Wood and Jason Kourkounis, and Tommy Kitsos of CPC Gangbangs, the Night Marchers will issue their full-length debut, See You in Magic, April 22 from Swami/Vagrant Records. (Not, as previously reported, March 25). The band will take their new tunes for a spin on the road this winter, with a few Cali dates previewing what's sure to be a spitfire showing at SXSW. While we're dishing up the Reis, we may as well remind you that R.I.P., the live CD/DVD recorded at Rocket From the Crypt's final show in 2005, will be released on Vagrant February 26. http://www.myspace.com/thenightmarchers
I feel this band is classic Reis. the 3 songs are great! I have a demo version one of the others. My predictions is as follows: 1. I will play this album more than anything this year. Especially in Super7. i will probably make them all hate it. 2. The second album will be totally killer
Wow, the 3 songs on here sound pretty awesome. They definitely sound like they have some potential to fill the gap in my heart that RFTC left. You know what I think is funny, I've been on a lot of forums, and there always seem to be a few hidden RFTC/Reis fans. It just makes me sad they never became the biggest band since The Beatles.
