i wouldn't be getting all 'that guy's a cunt' on those critical of the new header ...it's fucking disgusting and mysoginistic and may trigger PTSD in women who have had abortions...dudes wanted to shock and horriffy: success !!! Such success is measured by the amount of shock and horror generated, shocked and horrified people may get angry and lash out at the source of the shock and horror, its normal and to be expected.

I enjoy being shocked and horrified and the Genjin looks so merry in his sadistic insanity so please keep 'em coming...but don't be surprised if someone throws a brick through your shop window.

I can't say anything bad about Jeremy because I don't know him. I think he's just looking at it wrong. How do we know the full story of that pic, maybe the chick gets away ala Texas Chainsaw? The Nag is clearly the villain in the pic, it's like a horror movie. Horror movies aren't ok now? In which 90% or more the victims tend to be female, or at least 1 victim per movie is female? Cmon. It's meant to depict the tasteless horror for Mothers Day. It's not saying "I hate women" or "GO ABORTION!" Clearly the lady getting shit in half does NOT win the fight at the end. But whatever, maybe later in the story someone finally gets revenge on Nag? Or not, and like the cool horror movies, he gets away to keep shitting people in half.

 

Who wasnt influenced by horror, and pulp movie posters as a kid? Also EC horror comics? C'mon everyone, I never condone violence toward women or misogyny in any sense. I'm telling a story of the 4 eyed Nag baby. People need to lighten up. I'm sure Jeremy is a really cool dude so let's not be hasty to cast judgement. The dude has an opinion like everyone here. What really pisses me off to know end is that I have worked with him in the past and he seemed like a stand up guy.

For those who don't use twitter, Jeremy basically labeled myself, Joel and Greg supporters of rape and abusing women!
I had felt the need to tell Jeremy that he was being a drama queen, because he was really going after anyone who said they didn't have a problem with the header, and it just blew up from there!

I think Jeremy has a valid critique...equal to that of lamour. Just different ways of interpreting art. Art is very open to interpreting and at times unapologetic.

The whole toy unfortunately is just constantly embroiled with people trying to hype it. (For lack of better terms.) From Nazi flags to horror depictions etc. and all of it is unnecessary because the toys is cool as shit on it's own. The kougai kaiju or boss carrion or two head or anraku or kusogon or blobpus or gargamel etc... do very well without gimmicks. To me the nag is all about gimmicks.

This is the only toy in recent memory that deliberately "tries" rather than just exists. It reminds me of that one kid in highschool that tries to be so cool and yet after awhile it comes across as so forced.

It's comical. Keep 'em coming.

I don't think the figure is being forced into acceptance or to be "cool". I think there's a dark image to the figure and there trying to exploit that. I think the guys at Mishka do an excellent job with these headers, they play really well with there artistic style.

And like someone on here said- sometime its like the peanut gallery on here.

 

I think saying that depicting monsters doing monstrous things is promoting or condoning violence towards women is ridiculous. No one says anything if a man is being killed or murdered in art, film or sculpture. They may decry violence but not violence towards men. Violence in real life is saddening but it has existed towards men and women since before the beginning of our history. The vast majority (hopefully all) of men I know do not hate or wish to harm women and those who do will not be dissuaded by society clenching it's collective butt cheeks. Art must be free to explore the dark and unsettling or it is no longer art. We aren't talking snuff or s&m videos here, it's a painting of some cartoonish imaginary bad guys doing bad things. Isn't that what they are supposed to do. To imply that Nag should only be violent towards men is childish and quite frankly his comments reminded me of that guy in high school. The one who constantly acted like every man was keeping women down and every thing from language to art must be scrubbed of anything offensive, at least when females could hear him.
