I finished this one last night, and I'm not quite sure on it... I wanted to try out painting flames, but I think I got a little caught up in hitting the rest of the details on the head, so the flames don't stand out quite as much as I wanted. I think I let the yellow get a little high up on the flames as well. Otherwise, I really like how it turned out. The dark armor with the color flakes looks awesome.

Oh yes... Monster Kolor Ultra Gloss is a thing of wonder and beauty. I am really totally enamored of these paints... they work so much better than anything I've seen before.

I like the paintjob, but I don't know about the gloss coat... I like a nice glossy finish, but DP stuff and the Monster Kolor GLoss seem toos glossy. I don't like that it si glossy that you can clearly see your reflection in the armor of the Akrokaiser.

I was thinking, why not only use the gloss on the armor, belt, wristbands, etc and leave the body uncoated. It might give it a cool look. Just a thought

Thanks. I'm actually thinking about another figure where I'll experiment with using both flat and glossy more. I'm sort of waiting for the MK matte varnish to debut, since I'll be able to spray it with more control than the stuff I have right now.
