missy and I would like to know if we could possibly crash with anyone or at the very least split a hotel room with anyone else going from out of town to try to make this as cost effective as possible (want to spend more money on toys)? anyone down? please let me know since we're really trying to get all our shit together as soon as possible to ensure that this really happens. thanks
skylar...if you don't have a hotel yet...you ain't gonna get one unless you're trump. i'm not trying to bum you out...just being a realist. this thing gets bigger/crazier every year. hopefully someone out there can hook you up with a place to crash. good luck man.
I would offer some room if I had any, but we're already stacked three high. Sorry. If I were you, I would bite the bullet right now and make a reservation, if there are even any rooms left anywhere. You can always cancel it if someone provides some room for you.
Last year I only had a room reserved for 3 nights but decided I would stay for the whole shebang about a month before, I couldnt get a room at the same place , so we reserved a room at a place close by.When we got to SD , it turned out that our hotel did have room for us to stay the whole time and we cancelled our more expensive second hotel. The moral is , have a saftey net so you wont be screwed, then when you get there you might get lucky and get a better rate/ hotel.
thanks for the advice, dudes I guess I'm still really not going to fully understand the magnitude until I see how big it is. freakin nerds. why don't they stay at home? can't they release a new Everquest expansion that weekend or something?
Skylar, is Missy going to want to share a room with a bunch of sweaty fan boys? I mean Comicon is sweaty...no doubt. And all those exclusives make it even sweatier.
yeah, she can handle it. she's not expecting some romantic getaway to the San Diego Comic Con (at least I hope not)!!!
actually, i was. thanks a lot. no really, i can totally handle it. i've been surrounded by sweaty fanboy nerds for as long as i can remember. its easier to share a hotel room with them than some prissy dude who is hogging the bathroom.
option Have you thought about posting / looking on craig's list? http://sandiego.craigslist.org/ here's the san diego listing -- check under housing KW
well, not a bad thought, but judging from the freakshows that post on craigslist in philly, i don't know if i'd trust them in other cities either. at least not to stay with, and leave my belongings for very extended periods of the day. we're just going to end up getting a hotel.
