So, are we all excited with the Royal Wedding that's taking place in a few hours? Being with the local media here, I am a bit clueless why we devote a whole primetime newscast on Prince William and Kate's wedding ceremony.
Yeah, I guess it's big business too, huh?...the network is spending millions of pesos for this coverage alone, and has sent a team for this event. Any feedback so far on toy releases commemorating this momentous event?
from what I can gather its costing around £60 million of tax payers money, I am sure they will have a lovely day and all that but for me I would rather they spent the money somewhere needed as for the atmosphere loads of people I know are having partys, my wife and her friends are all excited which is nice to see but for me its a day off work and sometime on my own to do nothing
Day off work - awesome The rest of the self congratulatory wank can do one. I was bored of it weeks ago and now you can't move anywhere for TV programmes linking anything to it. But...Regent Street with all the flags on does look pretty nice - like a throw back to VE day.
i'll be selling these along with commemorative crack pipes and knuckledusters in the kidbrooke KFC parking lot...... keep an eye out all you wedding revellers!!!!! thank god we have only had to work three days in the past two weeks due to this momentous occasion & easter on a serious note,,,,,the streets are strangely quiet this morning.....almost too quiet!!!!!!!
all the bunting etc on the streets does look nice, plus kids do seem to be having fun with it my wedding was better anyway so have that you Royal fuckers
It's tomorrow, but yeah, there won't be any anarchy either since the Met have spent today storming every squat they can find and in the past week have nicked over 70 with little to no reason... You know, that aside... I'm weirdly digging the whole vibe, London will be an odd place tomorrow. I had a wander past Buckingham Palace and down the Mall on Monday and even then it was pretty cool to see all the work that had been put into it all first hand. At the end of the day, whether you're into the monarchy or not, it's a spectacle and will be an impressive event. £60 million ain't shit when you figure the military is blowing up more than that on a weekly basis and killing people to boot.
At least they spent that money on your own country and not somewhere else. But I really don't care if they get married or not. The new princess is quite pretty though. And Mr. Bean is in the guest list.
Mr Bean! Yep she is pretty. I am from the US and love London! I was there just last month. Revving up that Union Jack patriotic spirit is good thing, I hope she uses her position well and does some good humanitarian work in the future, I think she will.
Other countries seem more interested than the British public.. I wouldn't even contemplate watching that shite for 5 minutes ..the street partys that will take place later on the other hand.. I'm all over it haha
I can't wait till there's stamps with them on so I can lick both their ... OH! ... Is it true there were legos?
