http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h130196159 Even for Anraku this is a totally insane price (assuming it's a legit bidder).
Dude won a MIB one for Y100k and decides to open it and sell it w/ a reserve price of Y300k? Or maybe it was the spare one he had lying around.
Went over me too Joe. Ironically, there's a "Young AA Members" convention in town this weekend I just noticed.
How can you tell there was a reserve? Just curious. I was watching that auction and I saw it start at 40,000Y. It exponentially jumped from there...so, as opposed to ebay (which never reveals the reserve), YJA shows the reserve?
there is an unopened vintage bandai frankenruge at mandarake for less than that reserve (or was anyway, not sure if its still there).
That seller is obviously testing the market I paid a lot less than the high bid for my painted one in japan
And the market kind of proves itself. No one was stupid enough to bid it up to 150-200,000 yen. Meanwhile some older Dakos were pulling in 80,000 yen or so. So kinda not surprised at the final bid that didn't hit the reserve.
