I can't argue with that, although the band has put out some type of music/video release about every six months (most often times mch fastet than that!) for the past 14 years, so they have quite a huge output all around! The amount of Skullman variations already alone is something pretty amazing, I guess. If anyone is interested, we are trying to list up all the different variations of the Balzac figures over at the Horrorwood BBS. I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to the toys, so if any of you know of something we are missing (and there is alot, I assume), drop us a line over there. Much appreciated!
I like the music (waiting for their new U.S. release); figures, meh. Not a huge fan of their figure designs, especially given the prices that some of the rarer ones command. The Halloween Skullbat was cool, though.
i picked up the skull bat at S7 and love it. i keep looking at it. i really like their toys a lot. now that I got the Skull bat, i just want more. also, if you haven't heard the misfits, please get off the computer right now, and get thee to the nearest record store.
Super 7 ran an article with most of the toys released to date. (issue 11) and the most recent issue 14, has a huge spread too. Check there before you re-invent the wheel.
Thanks for the help, but i guess the Balzac Toy list at the Horrorwood BBS is already beyond the S7 list.
Yes, I have those issues, but they don't come close to covering all the variations. Actually, in Issue 11, I only see on variation of the Skullman, and issue 14 only has a pic of the 6 Rangers set. There is at least 50-100 versions already, I think. I do have one questions about the SB Bagman though... why is the Blue version considered a "Balzac"? I don't have it so I can't be sure, but when I saw it I thought there was nothign tying it to Balzac. It's a Skullbrain head, right? And no mention of Balzac on the header or backprint, correct? If anyone knows, please post here. I figure this is the best place to find out since everyone is pretty knowledgeable about this type of stuff! Thanks!
I just can't figure out how it's related though. Also, is there a clear red bagman too? I thought I saw a pic of it somewhere, and I think it also has a Skullbrain head - would this still be considered "balzac-related"? Thanks for you help!
Thanks guys. Actually, I don't deny them being all "bagman" figures... but, I was wondering why or how they can be considered "balzac". I thought there would wither had to be the balzac skull face, or something about balzac on the header or back print. So, the red masked ranger is a bagman, but not a balzac, right? Sorry to be so dense... It's hard when I don't have the actual figures at hand.
Isn't the bagman a Balzac character first? So even with a skullbrain head underneath the bag it is still a bagman figure that comes from the Balzac character, skullface or no skullface. I don't really like them either way, I had to fix my GNO bagman, yeah I fixed him real good.
this rules.(minus the toothpick) not all of them are this cool but I think this one,the dirty and the zodiac are solid. balzac music is eehh. id say im into about 50% of the figures put out.
NSFW - very, very violent (but also funny) Bagman - http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2107860976834753426
I only like Balzac toys, particularly the ones that have back prints related to specific records or releases. Balzac is my favorite band (along with Misfits and Screeching Weasel), but none of my friends nor my wife like their music. I've been listening to Balzac since 2004, but just got my first toy a few months ago. As you can tell by my sig, these are what I'm after.
