It's a Robotaku figure. I've got a few myself. A fun toy line. There's a Robotaku cat dude figure in So Crazy Japanese Toys. I've had a hard time digging up much info on the toys though.
By the way, al alternative spelling is Robotack. I've seen it go by both names. I have this guy, among a few others. Not my shot just found it online. The arms and legs telescope out and they transform to from their animal shapes into more humanoid robots.
thanks for the info! yeah, i just aquired this as an added bonus involved in a massive action figure trade with some dude on another toy board. he didn't have any info on it either, but i liked it enough to throw a few more figures into the trade...
