07 - my one and only year of japanese vinyl toy collecting. so much has gone and and out of my house already. i'm always really bad at naming favorites, but here are a few things i picked up that probably will not rotate out of my collection anytime soon probably none of them were made in 2007, but everything is new to me
jeez smiling idiot, that thing is so friggin gorgeous, i might cry. wow! that is definitly a piece of art of unparalleled beauty in my eyes. wow. i'm stunned....very very nice and perhaps the nicest thing i've seen all year.....this isn't the one that sold on ebay a few months back is it? cause that one was beautiful too in its way but this one takes the cake!
i definitly can't top living dead's year (man i want that cococroc so baaad!) and aren't you glad you picked up that goga from me pickle? (great photograph, by the way) but it was a good year, here, too. Top 3 or 4 or so were these: thank you paul kaiju! the blue blood! thanks max! handpaint on right by mr biskup! deathbot cant stand dancing! detail of face got this right before their price started sailing up so high! a steal if you consider one went at auction this month for $24,000!! my absolute favorite series of the year! these things really float my brain..i've never seen a single episode of the actual program (and i'm not sure if i want to or not) but i can fly straight into their world just gazing at them. bet you thought it was gonna be the standard dokugan display...i'm finding myself more and more partial to this particular line-up of blobpus' too. dokugan and docross
oh shit, congrats. I pray that Murakami decides to make some cheap-o vinyl for the masses, the mini figures are cool but I need something bigger.
