    Hey Guys!

we are working on a number of releases for christmas and early 2008
so I figure I will post a few things here to see what you think

fists up is Mike Burnett's LUCHA! PLUCHAs!

they are 14" tall and we revised the samples so that the figure stands up on its own...

5 unique designs under 35 bux each

do you think anyone cares if there are 500 or 5000??

    thanks!

    will post more stuff later

    Klim

    the figure is 6.5" tall

made of Birch, and comes in a Birch Ply box that can be used as a display case
for the figure once that is complete

I think the idea of wood toys are kinda cool, but these designs aren't really. Not bashing you, I'll let others go on and do that, but it's not MY taste. Not to speak for others here either, but it just isn't the taste of the majority of the board. The wrestlers remind me of the WWF Wrestling Buddies a little bit. I have nothing to say about them really, and plush doesn't fly here much either.

I'll say it again, like posting Star Trek toys in a Star Wars forum.

    Thats Cool
I appreciate honest and constructive criticism, and I totally relate to the taste
difference on this board versus the others
The Woodie is mikes design I think it is awesome, we have a number of projects in with him and they are all pretty cool.

we work on a variety of projects that are not really for everyone,
some are for 3 year olds and some are for the big kids.

like I said I an just trying to share what we are up to
as I think that there are a handfull of skull brainers that
    are diggin this

    Thanks!!

    Hey Klim -
I think if you had involved yourself with the board for a while prior to posting your stuff you would have received a different/better response. People here really hate it when "newbs" pop in just to post their Western wares (unless they're already connected to the old-timers somehow). Sure, what you're making probably doesn't interest too many people here - but the "hate" is coming from the fact that this seems to be your first involvement with the board.

And to everyone else - Klim's a good dude. Just made a mistake. Cut him some slack...he's not getting all agro like most people do when criticized. Despite being plush, I thought the Luchas could possibly go over well - they're somewhat similar to some of Martin's old work and everyone loves Martin!

    Thanks

I have been making toys in various capacities for over 15 years if you dont have a thick skin you might as well stop before you start. the designer toy thing is like summer camp compared to doign work with the majors.

I have been lurking here since the beginning. people that know me understand that I don't have time to jump in and start dropping 2 word nonsensical posts just to get beyond 10 on my post count, that is not what I am about
what I am into is working on fun projects.
in the process making some friends and producing some fun stuff that although might not interest or excite everyone is fun and exciting to me.

I love this board but some of the "involvement" that I have seen does not really interest me, I am te first to step up with helpful hints and info
and will support people doing stuff on their own as long as I breathe
but I just dont have the time or energy to get into fights with people that
have no idea about what it takes to make something, Critisize someone for fro being Green (we all hAve to start somewhere) or are just trend hopping
after selling off their rainbow hoodies.

anyway I hope that some of you guys like what We make
feel free to comment as much as you like but calling something sh!t
and jumping off does nothing to me but it does make you look like a baby with turrets

    Thanks

    Klim

Know what would make me think those Wrestlers are way cooler? If they were made outa rubber like the old WWF figures were. Like 9" and made of solid rubber, some bright paint aps! I used to use those things as weapons, once broke a window with Hillbilly Jim.

I still have the hairy Russian guy with the blue tounge somewhere...

the thing is these are MIKE BURNETT characters.. so they are the way they are at this stage anyway
... we do have some new plush with mike in development that will knock your socks off...

we are primarily a design and development studio so these personal projects take months to put together.. We are alos trying to keep these fun and simple , below 35 bux....

those LJN figs were crazy heavy...

There are a lot of lucha libre fans here, but probably not so many plush fans. They look like well-made toys. Welcome and congrats on weathering "the heat" so well. :)
