Hahaha! Thanks. By any chance do you have any photos of the set up? The black light(s) I saw at one store where the (I call them) "fish tank lights" (long, thin, look like the hood light to a fish tank). Is this the sort to use, or the novelty bulb-type?
You can pick up a cheap flourescent tube blacklight at Walmart or Lowe's. Think they are around $15 for one about 12" long.
I found one at a clearance place for under $15. I took the GID display apart, putting all the GID figs together left too many holes in the collection.
I hear that over time, blacklights will reduce the glow of a toy. So will sunlight. As for the "bulb" type of blacklights, they are a waste of time and a fire hazard as they get way hotter than a normal bulb should. The tube lights are the way to go and can be found cheap on craigslist/ebay.
