So for those in attendance at the con, about how many of the bloody 13th bees were there? 3? 10? Also it looks like they came w/o headers, correct? I would like one but just want an idea of what I'm up against, merci... Z
Oh ok...so they did indeed come w/ headers...yeah, whoever has the other one, you don't really want it do you? Sell to me!
heres a pic of the header (scud's photo) Glenn's looks different to that one though as the body is painted up too
mine is 3/3 ... the other one looked similar to mine if i remember it right. glenn got the only one with the dark suit.
I didn't grab it either. didn't realize there were only 3. but on the other hand, I thought it was sorta a cheap "exclusive" considering they threw some red paint on an existing figure and called it something else. I could go back and do that to all my toys and have bloody versions of every single one.
But didn't it come in a special header card? You might think that's kind of ghey but I don't... It is gimmicky but I still like it.
I dont' know, maybe it's that the 13th bees were very distinctive in the sets they came in. like I think of them as sets. if it was more of a standard release that was bloody, I probably would have been more interested.
this shit is offcial! for those interested, here are a couple other pics: back w/header: foot: i wanna see some more pics of glenn's ... looks like it was dipped in ink or something.
i still think they are pretty lame... especially for the price if it had been something besides just a red splatch of paint on them to the "custom" job
I will agree that using that body style might be a little lame, but the fact that you get a header card with 3/3 is fucking AWESOME!!!!!
agreed. it's pretty cool. just not worth $100 to me. but to those who felt like it was worth it - awesome!
hey, I'm not a naysayer! look, all I'm saying is for $100 any of you can send me one of your toys, I'll throw some red paint on it, make up a header card on photoshop, and there you go - a 1/1 skylar gahagan special bloody paintjob. for $200 I'll use my own real blood!!!
coming from the world of people collecting hardcore records and the like... limited vinyl is always cool, but when someone throws a new cover (usually some piece of crap xerox) on copies of records that are just sitting around it seems like just a gimmick to sell copies that are collecting dust. now generally i dont think this is the case with any SB toys. i bet they can sell as many as they want. but making only 3 of one toy seems a bit much. why not just make 25 or more? it would feel more legit.
